Track Two diplomacy is a special type of ~~diplomacy~~ social engineering when supposedly "neutral" people, like former diplomats and members of think tanks, get together off-line and try to iron out problems affecting nation states. These people don't have the same constraints as public officials, so the thinking goes that they can speak freely and make better progress. Of course, people conducting track two diplomacy are also not ACCOUNTABLE to the public. So theoretically, if everyone was a former this-or-that in a track two diplomacy meeting, one might argue that such meetings are ethical, since no one has direct access to the levers of power.

However in this case, the former officials from the US side are meeting with the CURRENT OFFICIALS on the Chinese side.

Sorry but that does not qualify as track two diplomacy.

Why should unelected former officials, ie: PRIVATE CITIZENS, with PRIVATE INTERESTS, be meeting with current Chinese officials to shape policy? Policy that affects billions of people?

Besides, some US officials, like Kissinger and Shultz, who worked in think tanks, will influence public opinion through their organizations," Qu said.

Just a year ago, China's CURRENT Foreign Minister met with Henry Kissinger. And the next day Hillary Clinton said: "We are preparing diligently for the upcoming state visit by President Hu Jintao. It is very much anticipated and looked forward to, and both the minister and I feel a great sense of responsibility to ensure that it continues the positive, cooperative, comprehensive relationship between our two countries."

In the West, track-two diplomacy refers to non-official dialogue often involving academics and think tanks.
The purpose of the dialogue is to enhance communication and educate the public on foreign policy, according to Sun Zhe, a professor on US politics at Tsinghua University.

Because it sure seems that there must be a different definition to account for the fact that current Chinese officials are having these policy discussions with former US officials. We think everyone is just not supposed to notice the tremendous conflict of interest?

We can't find the complete list of the Kissinger Delegations. Evidently, it is not a matter of public record. That's because these people don't represent the public. But you can be sure that whatever they are discussing, it will affect people world wide.

Kissinger Delegation members may include Robert Rubin, "formerly" of Goldman Sachs and the US Treasury. Jami Miscik, "formerly" of the CIA (Intelligence Chief) and Lehman Brothers. Carla Hills, longtime political adviser, current advisor to JP Morgan and member of the CFR,

Russian media noted that Friday's meeting came just weeks before the March 4 presidential elections, in which Putin is seeking a third term as president.

Very interesting research.

In 2005, Todorov's lab garnered international headlines with a study published in Science demonstrating that quick facial judgments can accurately predict real-world election results.

Taking what they have learned over time -- namely that, rightly or wrongly, people make instant judgments about faces that guide them in how they feel about that person -- the scientists decided to search for a way to quantify and define exactly what it is about each person's face that conveys a sense they can be trusted or feared.

...Based on this data, the scientists found that humans make split-second judgments on faces on two major measures -- whether the person should be approached or avoided and whether the person is weak or strong.

[We noted in the last post that damage to the amygdala causes people to lose their ability to make the split second judgment whether to approach or avoid a person:

Over at Winter Patriot Community the discussion continues about Ron Paul in the comments. In one of our comments we note that Ron Paul does not elucidate his position on some very important details about the money supply, and who would issue the nation's money supply *AFTER* the Federal Reserve is ended, which Ron Paul supports (and so do we), should that come to pass. But what happens NEXT? This is the problem. What happens after the Fed? What replaces the Fed? WHO issues the money, and how, and by what mechanism?

How important is this detail? It makes all the difference in the world. It makes all the difference whether the banksters have another 100+ years to control our every transaction, and our children and grandchildren etc., starting from scratch; or whether we get a currency backed by the productivity of the people, and controlled by the people's fairly elected representatives (yeah that's another huge problem we know), as James has thoroughly and clearly explained in his post -- here it is again if you haven't read it yet.

It is impossible to overestimate how important this is, but Ron Paul has not made his position clear. There is a GAP in his position, and you can't just fill it in with whatever you *think* he *should* do, or *will* do, because you like him, because he has such a trustworthy face. Capice?

people who like rp will be inclined to fill in the blanks with a story they like. this is a very common way that people are manipulated. important information is omitted and people color in what *they* would do, what *they* want. only later do they find out they were wrong. and there is nothing more infuriating than when someone screws you and then says, hey i never told you i was going to buy you a fucking pony. and you realize they sure didn't say that. you just assumed you were getting a pony because he knew how much it meant to you, and there was so much sweet talk...

You can start to believe you are getting a pony when you get it in writing from the man that you are getting a pony, and you go to the stable and pick out the pony, and you see the fucking pony and give it a carrot, and you hold the pony's reins in your hand, and you have a couple hundred million angry friends with pitchforks who also want ponies, and who will pay extremely close attention to all this pony business.

And even then, you still can't believe you're getting the pony until your hero delivers the actual pony, and before a tragic, unforeseeable, regrettable fire burns the barn down the night before.

All you Ron Paul supporters, you need to check into this pony business right away. We can't say it any nicer. You've got to get the details down in writing, exactly how things will work *AFTER* the Fed, and it has to be an answer that cuts the bankers out once and for all. And it has to be public. Because if you don't do that, and something happens to Ron Paul, you have NOTHING. Nothing to wave around, nothing to enforce, nothing to justify, nothing to fight for, nothing to play Rule of Law with the people who invented the game. You have walked right into the trap, and you have taken everyone with you.

Just look at the whinging over the Palestinians getting into UNESCO -- a good example of how having some legitimacy, of being able to ENFORCE ACCOUNTABILITY, even just a little bit, makes their ears bleed.

And if Ron Paul doesn't give you this, you need to understand what that means. And don't say it's because he's afraid of getting whacked by the banksters, because we all already know that they will kill any leader who tries to do this thing that needs to be done. That is precisely WHY it needs to be explained clearly to the public, and put in writing, and committed to. Because if they dare to whack a leader who has gone public with the CORRECT SOLUTION, then they they are exposed for the murderous criminals we already know they are, but at least they would be exposed in front of everyone.

So, good luck with all that. Anyway, cheer up, we know how it feels. We thought we were getting a pony a few times in our life. We really, really believed it.

This particular piece of information might be the key to some mysteries?

When the limbic system was stimulated the patients vigilance weakened, they lost capacity to think, often they began to undress or grope and when the stimulation stopped they did not remember it. SOURCE

The limbic system affects behavior and memory. If the limbic system could be dialed up and down by some methods, people would experience a range of behavior and memory states? This would be very useful to the controllers, especially if done by secret methods, without people's consent?

Is this possible on a wide scale?

Well, look at what the limbic system regulates:

Limbic system structures are involved in many of our emotions and motivations, particularly those that are related to survival. Such emotions include fear, anger, and emotions related to sexual behavior. The limbic system is also involved in feelings of pleasure that are related to our survival, such as those experienced from eating and sex.

Certain structures of the limbic system are involved in memory as well. Two large limbic system structures, the amygdala and hippocampus play important roles in memory. The amygdala is responsible for determining what memories are stored and where the memories are stored in the brain. It is thought that this determination is based on how huge an emotional response an event invokes.

Seeing what the limbic system regulates, and knowing how the social engineers love to play with our emotions, and realizing how much research is conducted with black budgets, we expect they have figured some things out by now.

Can the limbic system of many people be affected by RFR technologies and/or vaccines with adjuvants that cause brain inflammation (ie: brain damage)?

Has this happened? Is this happening?

Are people in America thinking clearly? We don't think so.

Let's take one example of public discourse: Newt Gingrich. Newt Gingrich has been around a long time. He's a pretty despicable person, which is not a state secret. Yet Newt Gingrich is still taken seriously as a political leader in 2012? Why is that? We heard it's because everyone has by now gotten used to the idea that he's a sociopath, and his skeletons have whitened in the sun for ten years, so it's No Big Deal anymore. Lucky for him hmm?

And somehow, Newt Gingrich knew that he could waltz back into politics and be taken seriously.

In the 1986 the American Air Force issued a book "Low Intensity Conflict and Modern Technology". In the foreword Newt Gingrich, member of the U.S. House of Representatives writes: "The United States is on the verge of a dramatic change in its ability to cope with low-intensity conflict... This book is a serious effort to make thinking about and working on low-intensity conflict easier, more understandable and more effective.

Not only does Newt Gingrich BELIEVE that he can say anything, Newt Gingrich KNOWS that he can get away with it. Because Newt Gingrich KNOWS what sorts of military technologies are being applied to the American people....? And not to pick on Poor Newt Gingrich, because he is just one example of the bottom-dwelling opportunists who pass for serious leaders in America.

Of course, many people conclude the SOLUTION to the PROBLEM of bad politicians is better politicians, people like Ron Paul for instance. But we are veering off into another major topic, covered HERE (including comments).

To be perfectly clear, we stopped voting some time back, because we concluded that it was USELESS to participate in a MASSIVELY CORRUPT SYSTEM.

We think politics is a big playpen to keep many millions of people busy and entertained and pouring their money and energy into activities that will never actually benefit them. We also consider that politics keeps a much smaller number of people EMPLOYED off of these many millions who don't actually benefit.

...Only a person of strong character can have a chance at standing up to the MASSIVE SYSTEMIC CORRUPTION endemic in our society. If you don't understand the scale of corruption, you won't see the problem. That is why the controlled media does not talk about the true scope of corruption. They prefer to keep as many people in the playpen as possible. People stay in the playpen as long as they think that voting will make a difference in their lives.

That is why we write about ORGANIZED CRIME -- to reveal the scale of the problem. If you don't understand that the entire system is MASSIVELY, SYSTEMICALLY CORRUPT, you won't understand that politics is a complete waste of time.

Just in case anyone thinks we are suddenly picking on Poor Ron Paul. Not so. We checked out of the playpen some time back.

We think Ron Paul is helping to keep many intelligent, angry people IN THE PLAYPEN, where they can still be controlled and directed to an APPROVED SOLUTION.

Stimulating the limbic system would certainly be helpful in monarch programming.

What happens when the limbic system is damaged? An opposite personality pattern emerges.

In Roger's case, his limbic system was damaged by a type of encephalitis. Severe inflammation caused massive brain damage. Roger's limbic system was impaired, and this resulted in him being happy and compliant, but with severe memory problems.

Vaccines contain weakened "signatures" of a disease. By themselves they are not strong enough for the immune system to mount a response. This problem is solved by adding a "booster" compound called an adjuvant. An adjuvant does not contain any signature of the disease. Rather, the adjuvant initiates an inflammatory reaction (the first step in any immune response). The idea is to get the immune system revved up so that it can see the weakened disease and learn what it looks like so that if it ever sees it again it will be more prepared to fight it. This concept, in and of itself, has validity – but only given the right set of circumstances.

It is clear that those with autism have an excessively inflamed brain. If pressed, the CDC would likely argue that the brain inflammation is a result of the autism and that they need more studies to determine the cause. I will argue that they don't need any more studies at all and that the cause is blatantly obvious based on an understanding of existing science. The multiple inflammatory insults from the adjuvant in vaccines, at a rate of 1 in 150 cases, sets the brain on fire and causes autism. As an aside, and to a lesser extent (but just as important to society), a minor brush fire causes ADHD and impaired intelligence.

All vaccines contain adjuvants because adjuvants are part of vaccine science. The adjuvants cause inflammation ON PURPOSE, so that the body makes the immune response to the weakened disease.

At the same time, we are told the vaccines are SAFE.

But adjuvants cause brain inflammation, and babies are given DOZENS of vaccines, which all contain adjuvants. Brain inflammation may lead to brain damage and personality changes. Of course, the argument goes that this is necessary to save our children from the horrible childhood diseases of the past, diseases like POLIO, which you can read about at Jennifer Lake's blog. It is certainly REGRETTABLE that some children suffer brain damage from the vaccines, we are told, but it's a risk we must all take....?

Why is that? Because people are more afraid of the horrible childhood diseases than they are that their babies might be getting brain damage from the adjuvants in vaccines....? And because they believe these regrettable side effects are rare....?

Of all the organs of the body, the brain is the most susceptible to oxidative degradation, commonly referred to “lipid peroxidation.” Although an infant’s brain receives 15 percent of normal cardiac output, it utilizesnearly 25 percent of the body’s oxygenation. The Mechanism of Encephalitic Damage from Vaccines

The fact of the matter is that it is a matter of record that it was known that vaccinations produced encephalitis since 1926. The sensitization of the population was being enhanced by vaccination programs. Someone had to know, since the connection was a matter of record....We also know that encephalitis, whether caused through disease or as a result of vaccination, can cause demyelination of the nerves, and that this has been known since the 1920's. What if someone suffered just a "little" brain damage? What if this took place when the person was an infant or toddler? How would anyone know? How do you know that your child does not have brain damage from a vaccine? And yourself? The technology exists. The military has been conducting research for many decades.

We are reminded of Russel Tice, an NSA whistleblower during the Bush Administration. Remember him? Remember back before Obama was in, how people thought Obama would clean house and we'd finally find out what that bastard Bush was up to, spying on everyone? Grim laughter. Russel Tice said:

"There's no way the programs I want to talk to Congress about should be public ever, unless maybe in 200 years they want to declassify them. You should never learn about it; no one at the Times should ever learn about these things. But that same mechanism that allows you to have a program like this at an extremely high, sensitive classification level could also be used to mask illegality, like spying on Americans."

People speculated what Tice was talking about, but he sort of dropped off the radar and then Obama came in and forgot to clean up all those messes left by Bush, surprise surprise surprise. We guess people mostly FORGOT about Russel Tice. But what were these programs that the public should never learn about, because they are so disturbing, that are beyond the pale of human imagining?

Could have to do with these secret technologies that control people's emotions through frequencies, the wet dream of the social engineers?

The latest development in the technology of induced fear and mind control is the cloning of the human EEG or brain waves of any targeted victim, or indeed groups. After watching Dr. Nick Begich's video a few weeks ago, we ordered one of his books: Controlling the Human Mind. This book informs us of the many decades of research, much of it classified, into mind control technologies. Essentially, energy is the invisible handle by which to control people: frequencies. Or, as we have read before, the NWO is wireless. Meaning: invisible. Invisible signals understood by our bodies.

How does a woman's body know how to grow a baby? It just knows. In the same way, our bodies know how to respond to energy whether or not our minds comprehend anything about the science of it.

When the limbic system was stimulated the patients vigilance weakened, they lost capacity to think, often they began to undress or grope and when the stimulation stopped they did not remember it. SOURCE

The patient Roger was studied extensively. He suffered extensive bilateral limbic system destruction after a bout of herpes simplex virus type 1 encephalitis (HSE). Scientists studied him for over 14 years.

"Despite the magnitude of his brain damage, Roger has a normal IQ, average to above average attention, working memory, and executive functioning skills, and very good speech and language abilities. In fact, his only obvious presenting deficits are a dense global amnesia and a severe anosmia and ageusia."

A patient of average intelligence, working memory, executive functioning, and language abilities, whose ONLY obvious problem is that he can't remember what happened in the past. A serious illness caused severe brain inflammation. The inflammation caused some of his brain tissue to die. Quite a lot of brain tissue.

Roger was a normal child and young adult -- college educated, athletic, friendly, quiet, reserved. At age 28 he developed a high fever, nausea, and an intense headache. An ER doctor diagnosed him with influenza and sent him home. Friends found him unconscious days later. He remained in a coma for 9 days. He recovered, sort of.

How do the scientists describe Roger, who they studied for 14 years?

Little has changed for Roger over the past 28 years.

He has virtually no episodic memories for anything that has happened in three decades. He cannot remember 9/11. When shown pictures, he speculates that the Russians are attacking America.
He confabulates, ie: he makes statements that are not true / inaccurate. "Confabulation is considered “honest lying,” but is distinct from lying because there is typically no intent to deceive and the individual is unaware that their information is false." Wikipedia
He has extremely poor insight into his own condition.
He downplays his own problems despite the profound affect they have had on his life (ie: he is completely dependent on others).
He eats voraciously.
He compulsively collects useless things.
He plays solitaire, listens to music (he has an unusual ability to remember artists and B sides of songs), and is an excellent bowler.
He hardly ever complains or worries about anything.
He is happy, outgoing, extroverted, approaching strangers without fear or concern for social cues.
He has a defective memory for faces, having great difficulty distinguishing familiar people from strangers.
He routinely jokes, laughs and makes excellent puns. He is in a perpetual good mood.
He is jocular and speaks freely, without filtering his thoughts.
His personality and intelligence are remarkably stable, having changed little in 14 years of testing.
He is compliant and easy going, earnest, attentive, and hard working.
His working memory, executive functioning, and attention are normal.
He has no depression, no anxiety, no psychiatric problems, and no psychopathology.
He has no sense of smell or taste.

To be clear, Roger has massive brain damage.

"Most people who meet Roger for the first time have no idea that anything is wrong. They see a normal looking middle-aged man who walks, talks, listens, and acts no differently than the average person. They might be slightly taken aback by his overly friendly behavior, or perhaps, they might be confused as to why a stranger just walked up to them and started telling jokes. They would not, however, be inclined to think that Roger is missing a substantial portion of his brain; a stark reminder that the territories of Roger's brain which are damaged, including the limbic system, are not critical for a broad range of basic life functions and behaviors."

Despite his massive brain damage, Roger can "pass" for normal on first impression, but he is dependent on others. Roger is not stressed out because Roger does not remember anything that would stress him out. He is simple.

He is a very PLEASANT and COMPLIANT person, free of WORRY and ANXIETY.

Free of INTROSPECTION.

Free of troublesome MEMORIES.

Does he sound like some people you know?

Did the scientists discover how to make people pleasant, compliant, free of worry and anxiety, free of introspection?

The Office of Naval Research has been collecting scientific reports on the biological effects of RFR since 1974. At present time their collection is growing by over 1000 papers each year.

The great majority of published experiments was performed on animals. The experiments with people (as we will see later) are reserved to secret military projects.

Ron Paul and Economic Theories (and other backwards thinking)

Many moons ago scientists thought the heavens revolved around the earth. They had fashioned theories and equations to verify this. But every now and then a planet would be observed moving backwards. How was this possible?

Explanations were put forward and some involved very complicated maths to 'prove' how this was possible. Of course, only educated/trained and intelligent people could follow these explanations. So the average person of average intelligence and average education had no way of credibly arguing with these 'scientists'.

But a critical foundation that these complex calculations were based on was wrong.

There was one crucial piece of information, one crucial assumption that was backwards. And that was that the heavens, including the planets, revolved around the earth. They did not, of course. Now with this piece of missing information, the average person today can see that all these complex calculations and theories and all the disputations that occurred between the scientists were meaningless nonsense.

So it is with economists and their theories today. And similarly, we don't need to understand the complexities of their false arguments to understand how they are simply wrong.There is a fundamental equation in economics and understanding it is crucial to seeing the nonsense that is peddled as economic management today. It is simple and well known to economists yet seemingly few economists have any idea of the truth and therefore the power that rests in this simple equation. It is the economic equivalent of Einstein's E=MC2.

It is this. P=MV

P= production i.e. GDP or the total value (denoted in dollars) of the wealth created by people in a country in a given year.

M= the size of the Money Supply (M3) we all have to buy that wealth that was created (GDP). (M3 is the amount of notes and coins [M1] together with the total credit balances in all the bank a/cs in the land [M2] plus some Bills of Exchange and a couple of other things I don't understand!)

V= the velocity of the Money Supply i.e. how fast people spend the money they get. In boom times the money supply (M) will turnover 1.1 times overall in a given year. In depressed times it will turn over 0.9 times. SO for our purposes we can say it turns over on average of 1.0 times which also means we can leave it out of our calculations without affecting the outcome.

So simplifying this down, Production and therefore employment) will rise (or shrink) to the level of Money (M) available to purchase said production.

So increasing Money Supply leads to increasing prosperity until the productive capacity of a nation is totally employed. Then if M is increased further the prices of Production and not the amount of P will increase to match the level of Money. i.e. we now have price inflation.

This is what happened in Weimar Republic in Germany in the 1920's. The private banks printed massive amounts of money (while blaming the government for it ever since) and lent it into the economy and massively inflating the price of any goods on sale. The purpose was to collapse the economy, destroy people's savings and buy up assets with foreign currency at fire sale prices. It worked.

On the other side of the Atlantic a few years later in the 1930's, the bankers reduced M (the Money Supply) to one third of its level of the 1920's and created the Great Depression with its price deflation. It also wrecked the economy and caused massive hardship.

So controlling the level of money (regardless of whether it is gold backed or not) is what determines a sound economy. Too much and you have inflation; too little and you have depression and deflation. Having too much and keeping it out of the productive economy and channelling it into speculation, as at present, will result in both inflation and depression at the same time.

It is a very simple and very understandable mechanism. Hence the mountain of economic jargon and nonsense to hide this simple truth that regulating the amount of money in the economy to make full use of the labour and resources available will result in a stable and prosperous nation. This is the last thing the banks want as it is nowhere near as profitable for them. Besides, what's the point (for them) of being rich if every one else is rich, too?

If the government also creates this money itself and therefore pays no interest to any outside banks, then the nation will have no national debt either. Imagine that; a government that had no debt and could never say it had no money to fund whatever projects there were people and resources available for!

This was the situation in the prosperous American Colonies-

“When Benjamin Franklin was called before the British Parliament in 1757 and asked to account for the prosperity in the American colonies. He replied, "That is simple. In the colonies we issue our own money. It is called Colonial Scrip. We issue it in proper proportion to the demands of trade and industry to make the products pass easily from the producers to the consumers. In this manner, creating for ourselves our own paper money, we control its purchasing power, and we have no interest to pay to no one."

It was the struggle for financial sovereignty that precipitated the American Revolution when the (Rothschild) Bank of England forced the colonists to give up their own currency.That war never ended.”

What every country needs is for its representative government to be the sole issuer of ALL monies with banks unable to create credit through checking a/cs and credit cards. They would be reduced to lending money from their own reserves just as building societies do now. They would become the financial intermediaries they have claimed to be all along.

Prosperous conditions can be easily achieved by matching the amount of money issued (at low or no interest) with the productive capacity of the population. This ensures full employment with no inflation. It's exceedingly simple.

The govt can issue money by either spending it into the community (to pay for social security or infrastructure projects at no cost to anyone) or lending it into the community through low interest loans (the interest from which would be income for the government)

The end result from this simple move would be a peaceful and prosperous country with little to no taxation.

A currency is given worth by the people who do the producing. So a country's Money supply is backed by the country's GDP (the total value of a country's Production of goods and services in a given year). That is always the underlying reality whether or not you can exchange a dollar for a speck of gold or not. The point of having gold as the so called backer of the currency is to give control over that same currency to those who own the gold and we are back to square one with the "boom and bust business cycle" and its attendant instability.

In a society with a gold backed currency, the owners of the gold will limit how much money we can have and so also limit the wealth we can create for ourselves and keep us forever dependent on them.

After the Spanish started stealing gold from South America centuries ago, they experienced a booming domestic economy. It was simply because the extra gold was converted into extra money which allowed extra production to be produced and traded.

They could have experienced exactly the same thing by having a properly managed fiat currency. Fiat currencies are not backed by hot air as many would have us believe. They, like ALL currencies, are backed, in fact, by the amount of goods that can be bought with them - the country's GDP which is the productivity of the people. That we have inflation and deflation to adjust the price of goods and services to over time match the amount of the Money Supply is ample proof of the fact that a currency is backed by the nations GDP regardless of what it is said to be backed by.

That is why the money supply belongs to the people as a whole and it is a theft of grand proportions on the part of bankers to have dispossessed us of it.

Ron Paul with his 'gold backed currency' is playing directly into the hands of the bankers he says he is against. He should be avoided for that very reason regardless of what anybody thinks of his motivation and whatever else he might say.

If you can exchange your digital or paper currency for gold, it is still not much use to you if you can't exchange the gold for goods for whatever reason. So the gold, too, is given its value by the goods that are exchanged for it. This applies to every medium of exchange. That's is why you have it; to exchange it for goods and therefore it is the goods that give it its value. Goods that are created by productive people and who are willing to accept your gold for it.

Gold is attractive only because currencies are kept unstable by private bankers who have no interest in having a stable money supply. It is worth bearing in mind that these same bankers also control all commodity markets including the gold market and regularly run it up and down to suit their own purposes which always amount to taking wealth out of your pocket and putting it into theirs without providing anything of value in exchange. This is also known as stealing!

Ron Paul is currently popularising the idea of a gold backed currency together with a form of Laissez-faire economics i.e. little to no government planning. His chief intellectual source for all this is the Austrian School of Economics which was formed around economist Frederich Hayek's writings on economics and politics.

Hayek's book, "Road To Serfdom" is a compelling argument against big government. It describes the weakness of human beings in the face of weilding power over others and the corruption this brings to the human mind. No argument there from me, at all.

The flaw in Hayek's thinking, though, is that ejecting the govt and leaving the economy to a laissez- faire system is getting rid of the problem. It doesn't. The problem is the bankers that weild power over the government and not the government itself. The bankers have power over the markets as well. Because they literally own the market places (the NYSE, for instance) and the clearing houses, they can do what they like with the markets through the simple but fraudulent practice of short selling; selling what they do not own into a market and driving the price down. The gold market is far larger than all the gold mined in history.

The bankers are free to control commodity markets and the lending market, otherwise known as the Money Supply, whether under a so called government planned and controlled market or a laissez-faire one. Either way they are free to make the money supply and to vary the size of the money supply at will under whatever political and economic philosophy is in fashion. The effect of periodically shrinking the Money Supply is what causes the otherwise mysterious “Business Cycle” of boom and bust.

It is this mismatch of money supply quantity and the quantity of resources of a community or nation that is THE fundamental problem. Laissez- faire economics does NOTHING to alleviate this primary problem.

Regarding “hard currencies”, having productive resources such as physical labour, intellectual skills, raw materials, machinery and productive land all sitting around idle because the nation does not own enough gold to allow it to print enough money to facilitate the use of all these idle resources while people are without housing and food is just plain nuts! Worse, it is criminal. It is the kind of insanity that is the hallmark of evil.

This is exactly what happened in Australia during the Great Depression. The Bank of England withdrew the gold it had lent to the Australian government so the government had to shrink the money supply to match the amount of remaining gold it had. Massive human cost ensued. The bankers would do it again in a flash, I'm sure.

The Austrian School's explanation of the mysterious 'business cycle' comes closest, in my view, of all the economic 'schools' to the truth of the cause of this mysterious cycle of boom and bust. But it puts the blame for the varying size of the money supply at the feet of interest rates as if bankers' behaviour was completely determined by the interest rate of the day and not their own rapaciousness. The blame lies squarely with the bankers and their lending policy i.e. how much they are willing to lend regardless of what the interest rate is. It should be obvious but it apparently isn't. Amazing for such great intellects. No?!

So Ron Paul and the Austrian School of Economics would leave us to the predations of the bankers without any control over them.

Pitting the Austrians against the Keynesians is a classic Hegelian Dialectic ploy. I liken it to a game of tennis where the 'opponents' are actually co-operating in putting on a show and captivating the spectators attention when, as in this case, we should be looking outside the court. Perhaps at Douglas' Social Credit, for instance. But more on Keynes and Douglas in a moment.

I mentioned the equation P=MV earlier. The meaning and it's working appear simple and straight forward and they are. It is usually taught in first year economics. But what is not taught is that the banks manufacture M, the money, and that they increase and decrease the level of this money at will and so assume near total control of the economy (Production) as a result; increasing it and decreasing it as they please through their lending policies. This is the primary cause of the “business cycle”.

P=MV. If the Money Supply is reduced by calling in overdrafts and reducing lending, so is the Production also reduced and we have a recession/depression. If the banks increase the Money Supply by lending as much as they can and putting to work idle capacity, then the Production increases and we have a boom. There's no mystery to it once this fact is understood. The banks run the economy up and they run it down and profit both ways at our collective expense. All the convoluted theories are nonsense in the face of this fact.

Now that you have the missing piece of information, if you want to read some real nonsense from some highly paid idiots, have a gander at this!

The Keynesian model of government intervention and planning is seen widely as a failure because of the massive govt debt that has been built up. And this was the fatal flaw in his theory i.e. the way it was financed. But if the government deficit budgets were financed by govt owned central banks, then all would have been fine. Financing the mounting govt deficits from private banks played into their hands. Keynes' excuse was that if he didn't support private bank financing, then his theory would not have been adopted at all.

The adoption of his theory gave immediate relief to the general populace (evidenced by some decades of prosperity) only to create a bigger problem down the track (which we have now). Hence the real reason for his comment, “We are all dead in the end”. Keynes also became Lord Keynes which was a nice reward for not elucidating on the flaw in it to everybody.

There was a large and growing discontent with bankers and govts and the way they managed the economies at the time. The adoption of Keynes' theories may have been a successful attempt to derail such movements as C.H. Douglas' Social Credit movement. I'm sure Keynes borrowed heavily from it in forming his theories except Douglas' model would have cut out the banks and the debt. Douglas explained the problems with classical capitalism far clearer than Keynes subsequently did though they were speaking about the exact same problem.

Douglas was an engineer and it has struck me that all the best writing on economics over the years has been written by engineers. I think it is because they are schooled to take the cause and effect relationship very seriously and not be put off by vague or woolly explanations.

Keynes claimed rightly that the economy was determined by the aggregate level of business and consumer demand and that this level of demand was chronically under funded for full employment. So it was the opportunity and even duty of the government to provide this funding through deficit budgets. This would have worked well if not for the fact that the deficits were funded by private banks at interest, as we've noted, which created the long term debt bomb that we are left with now. If governments around the world had financed their deficits from State owned banks, this problem would be non existent today and our economies would be in fine shape. Instead, now the economies around the world are being choked and smothered to pay the bankers their illegal and immoral interest.

Another problem with Keynes' theory is that he did not explain clearly WHY capitalist economies were chronically under funded. He had no excuse as this under funding was explained very simply and very clearly more than ten years before by Maj C.H. Douglas in his writings on his Social Credit movement.

As Maj. Douglas explained, given that we know that almost all money comes into being as loans and the vast bulk of these are for industry, we can see with a little thought that these loans cover the manufacturing costs (the outgoings) of production. But on top of these costs there needs to be a margin for bank interest on those loans and a margin for profit in the final sale price of manufactured goods (and services). These added margins are unfunded and the money to pay for these margins does not exist.

The money to cover the manufacturing costs (provided by the investment and business loans and operating overdrafts) has been spent into the community to cover wages, raw materials and plant costs (which break down to wages sooner of later) and so is available to pay for that component in the sale prices of the production. But the money needed to pay for the margin to cover bank interest and profit for the enterprise has not been spent into the community by the manufacturers and therefore is missing from the community. The community is too poor to buy all the production that it collectively manufactured.

So unless consumer credit is issued to the public, there is not enough money (M – Money Supply) to buy the full production (P – production or GDP) and this inevitably leads to goods being left on the shelves and to growing unemployment.

For an example using some figures. Let's suppose an economy starts the year without any money supply. Industry borrows (at interest) 100 billion dollars to finance their production programs. That money is spent paying for wages and for raw materials. Now industry has spent all its money and the community has a money supply of 100 billion dollars. The manufacturing sector now wants to sell all of its production and also to sell it at a profit.

So it's costs are the $100b loan plus $10b bank interest ($110b), plus it wants to make a profit of 20% so it puts a price of $132b on its total production. But the community only has the original $100b that it traded its labor and other resources for to pay for the output. So $32b worth of stock is going to stay on the shelves unsold. What do you think will happen next?

Yes, industry will lay off workers and scale back production and we have an economic recession unless the public can borrow enough money through consumer loans to pay for the remaining production on the shelves.

The other option (and the one Keynes opted for) was for governments to bring in a deficit budget i.e spend more into the community than it received in taxes and finance it through loans from the private banks (who create the new money out of thin air, of course). Because of the temporary nature of loans and the fact that they attract interest, this solution just postpones the problem till next year and then the situation requires an even bigger loan (because of accumulating compounded interest) to pay for the same manufactured output.

The problem with supplying the shortfall in the money supply with consumer credit is that it is secured against future wages that will be needed to purchase future production. It will accrue interest as well taking more money out of the community that is needed to buy future production. So we have a short term solution that creates a much worse long term situation. If, instead, the government provides for this shortfall with deficit budgets financed by private banks, we get the same problem. In practice we have a combination of both these very unsatisfactory arrangements of badly financed government debt and consumer debt.

(As an aside, this is why we need a constantly growing economy to just stand still.)

Maj. Douglas' solution was to distribute money to cover this shortfall of funds (the $32b in our example) free as a dividend to all citizens. This money would then swell Aggregate Demand to the level of GDP or Production and ensure a fully employed workforce and a prosperous nation with a minimum of downstream social costs and all very simply done. Other solutions could be equally as effective so long as the money was spent into the community by the government at no cost to itself such as through State bank funded infrastructure projects that would not have to be sold to the population and so not absorbing valuable money supply.

Because Keynes did not explain the mechanism, the problem, or the solution clearly and fully as Douglas did (though nowhere near as widely), it left the citizenry in the dark as to what was happening and thus we all became victims of the banks and to the competing nonsensical economic theories they have sponsored down through the decades to keep us all bamboozled as they continue to rob us blind.

The bankers have robbed us of much more than money, too. They have robbed us of happy, healthy and peaceful societies. They have robbed us of many family members from poor health and depression due to poverty and uncertainty and not to mention from their wars for profit.

I hope I have shown that prosperity and peace of mind for everyone is attainable with collective knowledge and political will. I hope I have shown that economics need not be a convoluted and 'dismal science'. I hope it is now possible for it to be seen as a simple, straightforward and even exciting discipline given the possibilities that lie before us for personal and cultural advancement.

Jan 14, 2004 (CIDRAP News) – One of the worst fears of infectious disease experts is that the H5N1 avian influenza virus now circulating in parts of Asia will combine with a human-adapted flu virus to create a deadly new flu virus that could spread around the world.
That could happen, scientists predict, if someone who is already infected with an ordinary flu virus contracts the avian virus at the same time. The avian virus has already caused at least 48 confirmed human illness cases in Asia, of which 35 have been fatal. That very same day, April 29, 2009, the WHO raised the pandemic alert to level 5, warning of widespread human infection from the Swine Flu.

Does anyone remember Jane Burgermeister, who was fired from her job after filing criminal charges against some powerful people?

She was European Correspondent for the website of Renewable Energy World, a position from which she was suddenly dismissed in July 2009 after filing a series of criminal charges against Baxter, WHO and others.

She started up the birdflu666 blog to alert people about the fact that Baxter had contaminated 72 kilos of seasonal flu with the bird flu virus in an Austrian lab in Feburary 2009, nearly sparking a global bird flu pandemic, according to the Times Of India.

Baxter made this "mistake" in a BSL-3 lab.

Jane Burgermeister sent this information to the FBI in June of 2009:

The amount of material was 72 kilograms.
This material was sent to 16 labs in four countries under a false label.
The 72 kilos of live bird flu virus was destined for the seasonal flu vaccine.
The deadly mixture of live bird flu virus and human flu virus were mixed in a Biosecurity level 3 facility, where basic protocol and procedures would make it impossible to ever mix a live virus bioweapon with vaccine material by accident.
The mixture was a super-wide spectrum combination H3N2 seasonal flu virus and live, unlabeled H5N1 viruses. If both strains were to incubate and recombine in a human host, a virus could mutate via "reassortment" into a virulent airborne weapon that would cause a pandemic.
The material was not radiated before it was sent out, leaving the deadly virus alive. It was only detected when a lab member in a lab in the Czech Republic tested a portion on ferrets and these died.
Lab staff in Austria and the Czech Republic were subsequently given preventative treatment against the bird flu in hospitals in Vienna, Austria.

The CDC begged scientists to reassort the viruses before, in 2004, and presumably they did, "in the name of preparedness," although we don't know who did the research.

And then, five years later, Baxter mixed some seasonal flu virus with LIVE UNLABELED H5N1 virus, in a huge batch of vaccine sent to 16 labs in four countries. Luckily, and we mean it, someone tested the material on ferrets, which have a respiratory tract very similar to humans, and the ferrets died. So the material was recalled. But, no one was held accountable. Jane Burgermeister filed some criminal charges and Jane became targeted.

All of this has apparently been shoved down the memory hole now that we are having a big ETHICAL DEBATE over the "Armageddon virus" research.

The debate sets up a problem. Some people love setting up problems because it allows them to come up with solutions.

The problem is censorship, according to the article. Censorship is bad, as everyone knows. It is anti-freedom. Thus the question becomes: Should the science be censored?

Well we have news. Science is already censored. Lots of secret science is conducted, and has been conducted. Secret science and technology has been kept hidden to create a huge technology gap, and this huge technology gap allows evil people to play God with you and your loved ones.

"This study reveals that biological sciences are now in a situation similar to that of atomic physics at the time when key discoveries were made that enabled the production of the first atomic weapons," he said.

"This is a key moment in the history of biology."

The Good Scientists would conduct their research, such as bioterrorism, and then send it to the New International Body, who would review it and decide whether or not the information can be shared.

Anyway that was a long time ago and nobody remembers these things because five billion other horrible things happened in the meantime. But it DID happen and it WAS brushed under the rug.

We note the PATTERN.

Getting back to the plutonium lab...at Los Alamos, NM.

The lab is called the CMRR: Chemistry Metallurgy Research Replacement facility. It has been in progress for three decades, but now the final design plans are being discussed.

The authorities know that the area is prone to major earthquakes.

They say they need the lab to replace the 1940s-era Plutonium Facility (PF-4), which is the only building in the US equipped to make the pits of nuclear weapons. Other work to be done there is, of course, CLASSIFIED.

Do we really need a facility to make more nuclear weapons and conduct more classified research into radiation? Do we really need a facility like that built on in an earthquake-prone area?

The authorities have studied radiation for many decades. What more do they need to know? They have experimented on humans without their consent.

They know about the Petkau effect.

For scientists, the Petkau Effect may be illustrated as follows:

A long term exposure of extremely low radiation (i.e., one-ten millionth of a rad per minute) was found to be 100 BILLION times MORE lethal than a short term exposure to exceedingly high level radiation (i.e., 10,000 rads per minute). As it turns out, Petkau discovered that at exceedingly high radiation levels, the abundant free radicals generated in tissues tended to cancel each other out before they could do cellular damage. But at extremely low levels of radiation, these same free radicals - produced in minuscule quantities - remain unchecked. And any steady stream of unchecked free-radicals will efficiently and lethally cleave lipid cellular membranes like a hot knife slicing through butter once they overwhelm and exhaust cellular antioxidant defenses. This dramatically illustrates the non-linear aspects of dose (rads) to lethality. Most scientists specializing in the field of nuclear medicine are unaware of this fact. And most think strictly in terms of genetic damage, while the above presents its lethal affects upon cell membranes and only secondarily to the genetic core.

We are already immersed in a radioactive environment.

The DOE has an administrative body, the National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA), responsible for overseeing the nation's nuclear labs. The NNSA has gone to great lengths to ensure that the lab will be safe up to an earthquake of 7.3 magnitude.

The chairman of the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board, appointed by Congress to oversee the nation's nuclear facilities, is Peter Winokur (no relation to Pug Winokur of Enron infamy, as far as we can tell, although Winokur is not a common name -- Ashkenazic for distiller).

"The board believes that no safety issue problem in (the nation's nuclear complex) is more pressing than the plutonium facility's vulnerability to a large earthquake." ~ Peter Winokur

The board is not concerned as long as the construction plans are followed through.

IN OTHER WORDS, we have to trust the people at Los Alamos and the construction firms to build the facility to the highest standards.

What is the pattern? Well, why is our planet already polluted with radiation, among other things?

January 26, 2006, a letter to Mr. Eggenberger, Mr. Winokur's predecessor, inquiring about 300KG of missing plutonium:

IEER found that, according to the Department of Energy’s own documents, there is at a minimum 300 kilograms of plutonium that is not accounted for in the nuclear materials safeguards account of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Given that this large amount of unaccounted plutonium could present national security, public health and environmental threats, we are writing to request that you open an immediate investigation into plutonium accounting at LANL.

...The Department of Energy has known about the discrepancy in plutonium accounts at LANL since 1996 (please see enclosed DOE memo). DOE even set up a “working group” to address plutonium accounting discrepancies at all of its sites (LANL has by far the largest discrepancy), which achieved no apparent results. In August 2004, IEER and other organizations wrote to LANL Director Pete Nanos urging him to address the issue, but there was no substantive response. While the DOE promised a response when the IEER report was released in late November 2005, the subsequent public statement was similar to the prior dismissive ones. Whether or not DOE and LANL address this vital issue, we believe it is essential that the DNFSB undertake an immediate, independent investigation of the unaccounted plutonium, given the large quantity involved.

On the other hand, if the 1,375 kilograms that is now booked as waste is not, in fact, in the waste, the security implications are obvious. They are at least as serious as those of loss of nuclear weapon design information. As you know, the difficulty of obtaining fissile materials is generally considered the most important barrier to proliferation.
As the Guimond-Beckner memorandum states, Secretary O'Leary set up a working group to address the issue and urged individual sites to do so as well. The DOE working group seems to have melted away in the bureaucracy. To the best of our knowledge, LANL has yet to explain the large plutonium accounting discrepancy or address its security implications.
It is completely unacceptable for a discrepancy of 150 bombs worth of plutonium to remain on the books eight years after it was first discovered. We hope that you agree.

Refresh your memory about plutonium.

Plutonium, a man-made material, has a half life of 24,000 years. A single plutonium particle, if ingested particularly inhaled, will kill you from the inside by bombarding your body with radioactivity. Of course you won't know. You'll get sick over a period of time. You'll never know that you ingested a plutonium particle that gave you cancer because the particles are invisible. Good luck. By the way, essentially all plutonium on earth has been CREATED by MEN in LABORATORIES. Regrettably, they don't keep close track of the plutonium, and at least 300KG have been missing for several decades. Oops.

November 30, 2007, POGO letter to DOE Under Secretary Thomas D’Agostino requesting a stop work order for the CMRR at Los Alamos due to construction concerns:

I am writing to you to suggest NNSA immediately issue a stop-work order on the Chemical and Metallurgical Research Replacement (CMRR) program. The Project On Government Oversight (POGO) has learned that Austin Commercial of Dallas, TX, the contractor hired for building the first stage of the CMRR, is not building the facility to ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance (QA) standards for nuclear facilities, nor to other DOE QA requirements. In fact, Austin Commercial is allegedly demanding an increase in their fixed fee from $10 million to $30 million if they are expected to meet these QA standards, and are even threatening taking Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to court. Did LANL actually enter into a contract that did not spell out these requirements?

Furthermore, POGO has learned that Austin Commercial already poured over 100 cubic yards of defective concrete that was out of spec because there was too much air in the concrete. This error was discovered and rejected by LANL QA personnel.

Let's pause right there and recall the Fort Calhoun nuclear plant that was threatened by the Missouri River floods this past spring. We learned that radiation makes concrete brittle.

Then we have the small problem of the cozy relationship between the nuclear industry and the nuclear industry regulators, and the consequences of that: WEAKENED SAFETY STANDARDS.

Records show a pattern of plants falling out of compliance. Studies ensue. The studies find the standards overly conservative. Authorities loosen the standards. The plants then come back into compliance. For example, radiation makes concrete brittle. The US Nuclear Regulatory Authority set a "reference temperature" benchmark of 200 degrees Fahrenheit to predict the threshold that the concrete vessel housing radioactive fuel could break apart. The standard today: up to 356 degrees Fahrenheit.

...The records show a pattern. You don't have to be a scientist, or an engineer, or any sort of specialist to see that these PATTERNS of behavior tend to repeat, and these PATTERNS of behavior tend to results in people dying, which is then deemed regrettable. And we have discussed these patterns many, many times, but if we were to pick one post as a reference, we think this one does the trick: getting away with murder.

So have these concrete issues been resolved? The NNSA says they were resolved. What more could you ask for?

There were some discrepancies early in the pour cycle, and these discrepancies were resolved. All completed concrete confonns to the approved RLUOB Design and associated QA requirements. To date, a total of 6,800 cubic yards of concrete have been placed of the total 16,800 cubic yards.

Everything is under control! All the best people are on the job, making sure that everything is done to the highest quality standards. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to worry about. Major General Robert Smolen, Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs, said so. Go back to sleep.

POGO update today: High cost of under-the-radar nuke facility becoming hard to ignore

Largely flying under the radar of the general public since its inception as a $375-million facility in 2001, CMRR-NF has been championed by politicians like Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ), and has been the foe of organizations like the Los Alamos Study Group and Nuclear Watch of New Mexico.

We are not surprised at Mr. Kyl's support.

TB is a small blog. We are a staff of ONE, even though we call ourselves we. We means me, myself and I, plus occasionally my buddy James helps me or has a guest post. We have some teammates and joint blogs that we contribute to from time to time. But we have never gotten into followers or advertising or anything like that, so we have not done anything to try to make TB more popular, to work the dials and knobs. Think of it as a controlled experiment. What happens when you blog for years, hopefully of some quality, and do absolutely nothing with social media tools (twittering, facebooking, followers, etc.)? Well, what happened to us is we eventually got to have regular traffic in the neighborhood of 500 hits a day. Even still, the majority of visitors come in on a search and land on some old post, and never return. We estimate we have well under 100 regular readers. Not bad for thousands and thousands of hours of unpaid work, huh? It's all good. We are actually very pleased to have readers, period. Hello and a special thank you to all our regular readers. But have no doubt that in blogdom, we are TINY. TEENY TINY. MICROSCOPIC. And that is fine with us.

Still, weird things happen. Things you would not expect to happen to a small blog like TB.

About 2000+ people have visited TB in the past week or so to look at one particular post, an old post.

There was no direct link, and not one of them has left a comment.

They come in on an image search for "hazing."

Most of them used this type of search: yahoo image search for hazing.

If you click on that URL, you get a general yahoo image search.

Enter "hazing" into the search bar.

You will get some hazing images.

Which one do you think is the one we used in the post 18 months ago? Take a guess.

All these people guessed the same.

A few came in on other image searches for "hazing," google images, etc. Those people guessed right too.

What are the odds? Maybe they have some direction? Maybe there is some reason they all click the same image when they do their image search, all 2000+ of them in a week or two?

Not one of these people came in on a proper link, to a source that we could say, Oh, that's where they came from. They all come in on an image search, and they all pick the same image.

These 2000+ people all came in "randomly," as it were.

These 2000+ or so people all clicked on the same image, the image from this old post we did in June 2010. It is not the first image that comes up in the image search for "hazing." It's not even the most interesting image. Nonetheless, they all selected it.

WHY?

There is no innocent explanation for how all these people ended up on this post. Their behavior defies the laws of chance. There's nothing random about it unless it is computer generated traffic chicanery, and they are not really people, but "people."

And the post moved up the popular post ladder. It is now at #1: disaster lottery.

A suddenly popular post from 18 months ago, although no one wants to leave a comment.

It's a very strange phenomenon. It has happened probably a dozen times before with other posts.

It happened with this post. They came in on an image of Christine O'Donnell.

Do an image search on Christine O'Donnell and see how many pop up. They all picked the same image.

Who are these people?

They come from all over the world to read TB? We feel so honored.

Russia has also moved military resources to Tartus, Syria. This deployment was planned a year ago. It just happens that it is, perhaps, Just In Time to deter an attack on Syria. If we believed in coincidences, we would call it one of those. However, the ships are not there yet.

The only Russian naval base abroad – Syrian port Tartus – will meet a task unit headed by the only Russian aircraft Admiral Kuznetsov in spring 2012. According to Russian military, deployment of Admiral Kuznetsov has no relation to politico-military situation in the region.

"Presence of any non-NATO force is very advantageous for that region, since it will prevent unleashing of armed conflict", said ex-chief of Russian Navy Main HQ Admiral Viktor Kravchenko in the interview to Izvestiya.

He reminded that Soviet Navy had founded Tartus base for repair and supply of 5th Operational Squadron deployed in the Mediterranean Sea with a view to deter Western forces.

At present, the base is used as Russian Navy's maintenance station, mainly by Black Sea Fleet (BSF) ships. In Tartus, they can undergo light repairs as well as replenish fuel, water, and food supplies. About 600 military and civilians presently serve there. However, no Russian warships are based in Tartus; BSF floating workshop PM-138 left the base early in 2011 and has not been shifted yet.

Meanwhile, the US Navy's carrier strike group including the newest carrier USS George H.W. Bush, two guided missile cruisers and two destroyers started patrol mission off Syria.

"Of course, the Russian task force will be incomparably weaker than the US Navy's 6th Fleet deployed in the Mediterranean Sea with one or two aircraft carriers and several escort ships at hand. But combat conflict is not in question today, because any attack on a Russian ship will be classified as declaration of war with all ensuing consequences", explained the admiral.

Russian military says the cruise bears no relation to the situation in Syria, since it was allegedly scheduled a year ago.

"Call of Russian warships at Tartus should not be regarded as a kind of reaction on events happening in Syria. This cruise was planned back in 2010 when there was no tension. We have been preparing for this cruise, and there are no reasons to cancel or postpone it", said the representative of Russian Navy Main HQ. He emphasized that except for Tartus, Admiral Kuznetsov and her escort would visit Lebanese Beirut, Italian Genoa, and Cyprus.

The cruise will start early in Dec 2011. Aircraft-carrying cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov will leave the Barents Sea along with large ASW ship Admiral Chabanenko. The ships will double Europe and enter the Mediterranean Sea via Gibraltar.

Black Sea Fleet (BSF) frigate Ladny will move from the other side – via Bosporus and Dardanelles straits – and join the task unit in the Med Sea. Prior to that, Ladny will call at Maltese port Valletta.

Air wing of Admiral Kuznetsov will consist of eight deck-based fighters Su-33, several new MiG-29K build for India and attending their first long-range cruise, and two ASW helicopters Ka-27. Flight drills will take place at high sea, far away from Syrian coast.

Except for aircrafts, Admiral Kuznetsov is armed with 12 launchers of Granit antiship missiles, SAM systems Kinzhal, eight Kortik antiaircraft missile/gun systems, six 6-barreled 30-mm automatic guns AK-630M, two antisubmarine rocket launchers RBU-12000 Udav and other weapons.

It is noteworthy that the aircraft carrier will not call at the port due to her deep draft. She will remain off the harbor, and all supplies will be brought by Admiral Chabanenko and Ladny. Aircraft carrying cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov is the fifth Project 11435 ship and the only carrier in Russian Navy. She has performed four long-range cruises to the Mediterranean Sea and Northeast Atlantic. The ship has passed three large repairs with total duration of 6 years. After the cruise, Admiral Kuznetsov will be laid up for repairs again.

Kuznetsov's twins were sold abroad: Varyag – to China, and Admiral Gorshkov – to India. Deck-based fighters MiG-29K which are to be tested during the cruise will be based on the Indian aircraft carrier being presently retrofitted at Sevmash shipyard.

Admiral Kuznetsov has visited Tartus two times, in 1995 and 2007, writes Izvestiya.

So, importantly, we know that there are already 600 people employed at Russia's Tartus base, and the ships are on the way.

Reviewing the history of this base...

"If the Russians complete the upgrade of the Tartus facility, Russia's only foothold in the Mediterranean, it would mark the first military presence Moscow has established outside the borders of the former Soviet Union since it collapsed in 1991."

Tartus and Latakia, another main port of Syria, could be used to reassert Russian influence in the Mediterranean.

The Russian flotilla would be heavily outgunned by US, NATO and Israeli forces, and far from air support.
Nevertheless, the Mediterranean is strategic and Russia wants a permanent presence.
Dredging and dock construction began as far back as June 2006.
A four ship squadron was planned.

"The Israeli media has speculated that a Russian presence in Syria would handcuff the Israeli militarily in any future conflict over the Golan Heights or Lebanon.
If the Russians do rebuild their base at Tartus, it would likely be protected by state-of-the-art S-300PMU-2 Favorit surface-to-air missile batteries manned by Russians.
These long-range systems, far superior to Syria's air-defense system, could provide cover for much of Syria and become a major obstacle for the Israeli air force.
The S-300s would certainly make recent Israeli air force operations, such as the provocative 2006 low-level buzzing of President Bashar Assad's palace in Latakia and the September 2007 airstrike on a nuclear facility near the Turkish border, far more risky.
According to various reports, Moscow has been selling Syria a wide range of weaponry, including highly effective SS-26 Iskander-E missiles and advanced anti-tank systems.
The Syrians, always hard up for cash, may well be prepared to provide Moscow with naval bases as partial payment for its arms purchases, past, present and future."

Perhaps we can assume that the base at Tartus is, in fact, protected by state-of-the-art S-300 surface-to-air missile batteries manned by Russians.... ?

Turkish security forces killed a Libyan gunman who shot and wounded two people with a pump-action rifle in the courtyard of Istanbul's historic Topkapi Palace on Wednesday, Turkish officials said. The assailant opened fire around the time the first visitors would normally be arriving at the lavish palace, home of Ottoman sultans for centuries and one of Istanbul's top tourist draws. He was killed after a one-hour siege.
"The attacker was not a Turkish citizen, he was foreign. A Libyan national born in 1975. He entered Turkey on November 27," Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin told reporters.
He said police had identified the vehicle in which the attacker arrived at the scene.
"The vehicle had a Syrian number plate. Its owner is someone else. But according to initial information the link between them is not very clear," he said. Investigations were continuing, he said.
Istanbul Governor Huseyin Avni Mutlu told reporters the gunman had been shot after refusing to surrender. He declined to comment on a possible motive for the attack.

Witnesses say he cried "Allahu Akbar," NATURALLY, before attacking soldiers and guards.

Witnesses say a gunman cried ‘Allahu Akbar’ and attacked soldiers and a security guard at the at the entrance of Istanbul’s Topkapi Palace, before engaging in a shootout with police inside the palace courtyard. The Gunman reportedly fired at the crowds and wounded 2 people, who were carried injured into ambulances after the attack.
Witnesses took the gunman for a crazy person at first but the with a shotgun armed man began shooting as soon as he saw soldiers and guards, the witnesses state.

WHY would the witnesses take him for a crazy person, at first? From the photo supplied, he looks like another SOLDIER OR GUARD. Was he doing something crazy other than walking around ARMED TO THE TEETH? Once he started shooting, we guess they NO LONGER CONSIDERED HIM A CRAZY PERSON....?

It is important to note that the attack occurred minutes after Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced economic sanctions on Syria.

The dead man has allegedly been identified as 36-year-old Samir Salem Ali Elmadhavri.

Witness accounts said the shooter threatened a soldier on duty at the Topkapı Palace gates with his weapon and took the soldier’s G3 army gun. He then began shooting.

Sure.

After being such an incredible bully, able to get an assault rifle off a soldier, he turned out to be a lousy shot. Also, he made no demands and refused to surrender.

Inexplicably, all this required 1.5 hours of apparently random shooting. See the next video.

Witnesses said the man shot the soldier in the leg and the guard in the abdomen before running into the palace courtyard through the main gate, chanting in Arabic “God is Great!”
Istanbul’s governor, Huseyin Avni Mutlu, said the wounded are not in life threatening condition. Mutlu said the gunman made no demands and that police decided to shoot him when he refused to surrender.

His overcoat was buttoned, I couldn’t see what was underneath,” witness Idris Cengiz told AP television. “He was coming toward us and my friend said he looked like a hunter so I asked him in English ‘Are you a hunter?’ He said something in Arabic which I didn’t understand. Then he said ‘Allahu Akbar’ (God is Great).”
Cengiz said he and his friend heard the gun shots moments later.
“We ran we saw a soldier and a security guard laying on the ground,” he said.
No tourists were hurt in the attack.

The narrative says that Hezbollah threatens the US from Latin America. Specifically, Hezbollah -- a proxy of Iran and a terrorist organization according to the US -- has tentacles from Iran to Lebanon to West Africa to South America's TBA. That much has been long established. The progression of the narrative covered earlier in 2011 brings the tentacles up through Isla de Margarita off the coast of Venezuela, to Central America, and into the US via organized crime. So the story goes.

Generally how these narratives work is that a very minor thing is stretched into something that looks like compelling evidence to people who are predisposed to the narrative. However on closer examination, the whole thing falls apart.

For instance, you will often read references to the Argentina bombings of Jewish targets in 1992 and 1994, allegedly by Hezbollah, an allegation which has never been proven. The non-proven allegations just get bandied about for two decades by irresponsible, lying, warmongering "EXPERTS" at think tanks, by which time it becomes "longstanding" "evidence" of Hezbollah's terrorism, simply by being repeated enough times. Evidence not required. IN FACT, investigators found NO EVIDENCE to blame Hezbollah for those Argentina bombings, as all actual evidence indicated the bombs were INSIDE the JEWISH CONTROLLED BUILDINGS -- something that we here at TB have pointed out repeatedly, because these false flag events form the base of the narrative pyramid about Hezbollah in Latin America as a threat to the US.

We like to remind readers of this because if we can kick out that lie the whole damn narrative comes down like a house of cards, as it should, before some horribly irresponsible and murderous EXPERTS start another war based on LIES, a war in which many innocent people would die.

The progression of the narrative now involves the ruthless, murderous, sophisticated nature of Hezbollah in Lebanon, the sudden, dangerous loss of the ability to track Hezbollah, and a fuse-like Hezbollah tentacle into Syria.

Recently a nest of CIA spies was outed in Lebanon. The spies are now feared dead, although no one presents any evidence of that.

United States officials are saying that shortcuts, unaccountability, laziness and general mismanagement are to blame for the compromising of several CIA informants in Iran and Lebanon who are now feared dead.
A CIA-led program in the Middle East is up in the air after officials confirmed to news organizations today that paid informants in Iran and Lebanon working for the US government have disappeared while attempting to infiltrate Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed military organization considered a terrorist group by the US.
Iranian intelligence minister Heidar Mosleh announced in May that more than 30 US and Israeli spies had been discovered and he quickly took to Iranian television to broadcast information explaining the methods of online communication that the agents would use to trade intel. Only a month later, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah announced that two high-ranking officers within his own organization had been identified as CIA spies. Just now, however, does the US government confirm that not only is this information true, but they believe that the rest of their Hezbollah-targeted operations in the Middle East have been compromised.

It is interesting that the spy ring began to disintegrate back in May, but only now are we hearing about the loss of all these informants, who are feared dead but there are no bodies, so who knows. We are told by RT that the two spies originally caught were high-ranking officers within Hezbollah.

NOTE what Hezbollah leader Hasran Nasrallah said about these agents in June 2011: they were low level, oops:

In June, Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah said two members of the group were found to be working for the CIA, and a third member was working for another unidentified foreign entity.
“When Israel failed to break into Hezbollah’s body, it requested the assistance of the most powerful intelligence agency ... we have two cases of spies affiliated with the CIA and one more might be affiliated with either the CIA, European intelligence or Mossad,” Nasrallah said in a TV address at the time.
He said the two members, whom he described as low-level, had been in contact with diplomats at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.
“Our investigation has found that ... intelligence officers [with the CIA] have recruited two of our members, but we’ll not name [them] out of respect for the privacy of their families,” he said.
“The U.S. Embassy ... is a nest of spies recruiting [spies] to serve Israel. We have become a direct target of U.S. intelligence. This put us in a new stage of a security struggle,” Nasrallah said....
At the time, the U.S. Embassy in Beirut denied Nasrallah’s claims.
“These are the same kind of empty accusations that we’ve repeatedly heard from Hezbollah,” the embassy spokesman told The Daily Star, adding that “there is no substance to them.”

Returning to the RT story, supposedly, it all went pear shaped because the CIA informants insisted on meeting at a Beirut Pizza Hut, and used the code word PIZZA, over and over again, for their spy meetings. Sounds pretty stupid. And thus, they were eventually caught out, even after being warned by Hezbollah.

Speaking to ABC News, one former US senior intelligence official speaking without accreditation says that CIA agents were warned to avoid using the same Lebanon hub for secret meet-ups — a Beirut Pizza Hut restaurant — though spies continue to use the location for countless meet-ups with a wide range of informants.
"We were lazy and the CIA is now flying blind against Hezbollah," the former official tells ABC.
According to several US officials speaking to the press, the CIA used the codeword “PIZZA” to arrange for would-be clandestine meetings at the restaurant. To ABC, however, a current CIA officer denied the allegations that the entire operations evaporated at the eatery
Others within the agency, but currently and formerly, say that outside of the Pizza Hut sting, the revealing of the online communication conducted between the CIA and informants in Iran led to “dozens” of assets being compromised. Officials have confirmed that the websites that Intel Ministero Mosleh showed an Iranian television audience were indeed used by the CIA in their secret web chats.
"We've lost the tradition of espionage," one former intelligence official tells ABC. "Officers take short cuts and no one is held accountable.”
Another anonymous official tells the Associated Press that the CIA was warned by Hezbollah’s Nasrallah that they were cracking down on American spies, but the US pressed on despite the consequences.

Sportsmanship... Hezbollah's got it.

One almost does not know what to say. Supposedly we are to believe that the CIA behaves with extreme sloppiness, and are warned that they will be caught, and then they are supposedly caught, and now these stupid spies are now supposedly dead, or maybe it is just the informants who are dead we are not sure, there are no bodies because this is all secret spy business conducted at the Pizza Hut, and it is all a terrible disaster proving....proving.....

....that the CIA is very sloppy and stupid? NO!

It proves that Hezbollah is extremely malicious and deadly, and trouble surely lies ahead, now that we are "flying blind." Obviously people. Get with the narrative.

"Hezbollah has disappeared people before. Others they have kept around,” counterterrorism expert Matthew Levitt tells the AP.
"If they were genuine spies, spying against Hezbollah, I don't think we'll ever see them again," former CIA officer Robert Baer tells ABC. "These guys are very, very vicious and unforgiving."

You see, in a way, this is one of those "opportunities" that should not be wasted. "If they were genuine spies..." Well maybe they weren't. Maybe they were expendable people on the payroll, thugs not spies, and they've all been flushed and that allows for a great big dramatic show about the terrible and dangerous Hezbollah, and the perils we now live under, since this grave loss and now we are flying blind....

Regrettables.

Or maybe these people returned to wherever they came from. The point is, who knows. Without evidence, who knows. It's just a bunch of allegations from people who literally lie for a living. It could be 90% true, it could be 9% true.

And if they were genuine spies... ? How might this story be different? Let's think if we have anything to compare.

When Raymond Davis, a real CIA asset, got into trouble and ended up in jail, so much power was brought to bear on his behalf that it strained the US Pakistan relationship to the breaking point. And that all went away nicely, didn't it. Our government paid the blood money to the families of the men killed by Davis on 1/27/11, and Raymond returned to the US in March and became a firearms instructor often working in Washington, DC. In October he was arrested in Denver after beating up a guy in a bagel shop parking lot... which you probably did not hear about. But you can see from his picture that he looks just as creepy as can be, smirking with that creepy dead-eye stare. RAY got away with murder, and he knows it, and we all know it, because he is a very important intelligence asset.

People like Ray Davis and David Coleman Headley seem to be higher level assets. The CIA doesn't just say hoo boy we lost a couple dozen guys this week, shit, we really should be more careful. The CIA moves heaven and earth to get their valuable assets back.

More than a dozen CIA spies have reportedly been caught in Iran and Lebanon and the U.S. government now fears they have been executed.

The spies were paid informants who were targeting Iran - which is feared to be producing nuclear weapons - and the Hezbollah group in Beirut.

Their discovery is a big hindrance to U.S. attempts to track Iran’s nuclear activities and discover if Hezbollah is plotting any attacks against Israel.

Ding. Problems dead ahead. It is too perfectly dramatic.

Unsurprisingly, all the usual suspects are weighing in with dire conclusions.

Phares also notes that the leak was not an accident. Actually we happen to agree. We think it seems quite likely that this "mishap" was completely intentional, seeing how it advances the narrative so nicely.

“The reality is someone who knew of these names must have leaked them to the organization [Hizballah].”

The leak was not an accident, he said.

Rep. Sue Myrick, bringing the threat home:

"This operation alleged by Hizballah against CIA resources in Lebanon shows their determination to hurt the United States. This terrorist organization claims their war efforts are only pursued in their war against Israel.”

“Their heavy involvement in terror operations against American interests in Iraq and the Gulf area, and in Latin America all the way to Mexico south of our borders, shows clearly that they are targeting U.S. national security.”

Clare Lopez, another former CIA operative and neo-con think tank star, talks about Hezbollah's sophisticated tradecraft:

“Up against Hizballah on its own turf, it seems that U.S. intelligence is out of its league. HIzballah's intelligence capabilities, learned from the Iranians, are highly sophisticated and include the full classical tradecraft skillset as well as very competent counterintelligence capabilities.”

The highly sophisticated Islamic jihadist enemy studies cell phone records and cases the local Pizza Hut. CHECK. They teach this skillset in Iran. An unnamed source adds to that conclusion:

“This should come as no surprise to anyone who understands the sophistication of these jihadist enemies and their professionalism in the skills of classical clandestine tradecraft...U.S. Intelligence Community failures to identify, effectively confront, and defeat the Islamic jihadist enemy speak not only to erosion of that skillset within the CIA, but also to catastrophic failure to master an understanding of the enemy ideology, the ideology of Islamic jihad...Intent and motivation are as critical as capability to the enemy's strategy and absent their accurate assessment, will lead as surely to defeat as failure to measure capability. America's enemies have penetrated its Intelligence Community in the past and betrayal of top CIA assets abroad has been tracked to moles deep inside the system more than once.”

Even Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum brought this problem up during a recent presidential debate. They provided politifact.com an American Enterprise paper as their source. The claims about Hezbollah as a threat to the US trace back to the same groups.You will see if you click through to older posts that the same names, the same think tanks, come up over and over again: the pro-Israel neo-con crowd that brought us the last few wars based on lies and false flags.

Where things get dicey is the relationship between Hezbollah and Syria. Given the full spectrum destabilization effort on Syria, Syria needs allies. Penny has done an amazing job covering the situation in Syria.

We know that Syria is absolutely in the cross hairs, and if the situation can fuse back to Lebanon via the Hezbollah connection, JUSTIFYING an Israeli attack on Lebanon, that would be considered a PLUS to the Israelis. Of course, the "self defense" excuse would be ready to go, given that the CIA spy ring has just been busted and now we are "flying blind" regarding Hezbollah's malicious intents against Israel. Anything that happens can theoretically be blamed on this regrettable situation. Shoot first explain later.

A week ago the Hezbollah and the Amal Movement of Lebanon announced their support of Syria and Iran against US and Israeli threats.

Hezbollah MP Mohammad Raad said Syria, because of Russia’s and China’s support, enjoys international protection and is immune to military aggression. He said Syria still had many options available to it in dealing with its crisis.
“The supportive role for Syria – Russia’s and China’s veto at the [U.N.] Security Council – tells the world that it is forbidden for anyone to think of any military action against Syria,” Raad told a Hezbollah rally in the southern town of Nabatieh. “No aerial sanctions, no buffer zones and no aggression against Syria,” he said.

The Jpost also seems to be the source of an allegation that Hezbollah will take over Beirut if Assad falls. We have not been able to load the Jpost for MONTHS, so we cannot verify this detail. However, it was reported here:

Al-Arabiya news website on Tuesday cited a “source close to Hezbollah” as saying that the party might militarily takeover Beirut if the Syrian regime falls, Israeli daily Jerusalem Post reported.
“[Hezbollah officials] have begun to worry about the potential fallout that may result following the collapse of the Syrian regime,” the source told Al-Arabiya.

"The moment that Hezbollah feels that the fall of [Syrian President Bashar al-] Assad is imminent - either as a result of the popular movement or of foreign military intervention - it will move quickly to take control of East and West Beirut," Al-Arabiya also cited the source as saying.

Of course, this is in EXACT DIAMETRICAL OPPOSITION to the quote from the actual Hezbollah official above, on the same day (11/22/11), that Syria is in no actual danger thanks to the support of Russia and China. We hope that is the case. It would take the weight of Russia and China to prevent what happened to Libya from happening to Syria, because these countries are being USED and DESTROYED according to the Yinon Plan.

The situation in Lebanon itself escalates as we write. Supposedly "tens of thousands" have rallied in Tripoli to denounce Syria's Assad and Hezbollah.

This event was not totally absent from violence as March 14 supporters opened random fire injuring four Lebanese civilians.

As many of March 14th are hoping for the downfall of the Syrian leadership, this comes as there is talk of trying to put Lebanon into a new role in the Syrian file.

Supporters of Bashar Assad, who represent a significant percentage in Lebanon as well, accuse the March 14 alliance of being part of a foreign conspiracy against Syria. This group puts the events in Syria within the framework of a wider plot to target Iran and Hezbollah as well as the Assad leadership after this axis made significant regional gains recently.

This event follows a meeting which was held just a few days ago in Paris between the leader of the March 14 movement Saad Hariri and French president Nicolas Sarkozy, who has probably been the most vocal international anti-Assad voice. It also coincides with reports of British and French intelligence officers providing military training to opposers of the Assad regime in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli.

The only people flying blind these days are the people who think the US and Israel, and NATO, will bring them democracy. Don't be a fool. NATO drops the democracy in blindly, as bombs from military jets, onto children and old people, onto houses and hospitals and factories and infrastructure. They just need some excuses.

Once upon a time, a long time ago, namely June 2001, our US government ran a national security exercise called Dark Winter simulating a smallpox attack, to see if the country was ready for a biological weapon attack. Conclusion: NOT READY YET.

Exercise Summary:

On June 22-23, 2001, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Johns Hopkins Center for Civilian Biodefense Studies, the ANSER Institute for Homeland Security, and the Oklahoma City National Memorial Institute for the Prevention Terrorism, hosted a senior-level war game examining the national security, intergovernmental, and information challenges of a biological attack on the American homeland.
With tensions rising in the Taiwan Straits, and a major crisis developing in Southwest Asia, a smallpox outbreak was confirmed by the CDC in Oklahoma City. During the thirteen days of the game, the disease spread to 25 states and 15 other countries. Fourteen participants and 60 observers witnessed terrorism/warfare in slow motion. Discussions, debates (some rather heated), and decisions focused on the public health response, lack of an adequate supply of smallpox vaccine, roles and missions of federal and state governments, civil liberties associated with quarantine and isolation, the role of DoD, and potential military responses to the anonymous attack. Additionally, a predictable 24/7 news cycle quickly developed that focused the nation and the world on the attack and response. Five representatives from the national press corps (including print and broadcast) participated in the game and conducted a lengthy press conference with the President.

The players were introduced to this crisis during a National Security Council meeting scheduled to address several emerging crises, including the deployment of a carrier task force to the Middle East. At the start of the meeting, the Director of Health and Human Services informed the President of a confirmed case of smallpox in Oklahoma City. Additional smallpox cases were soon identified in Georgia and Pennsylvania. More cases were reported in Oklahoma. The source of the infection was unknown, and exposure was presumed to have taken place at least nine days earlier due to the lengthy incubation period of smallpox. Consequently, exposed individuals had likely traveled far from the loci of what was now presumed to be a biological attack. The scenario spanned 13 days.

Note the smallpox mock up takes place in the winter. Smallpox is a disease of the winter months. It also happens concurrent with an emerging crisis in the Middle East. Emerging crises in the Middle East can be arranged practically anytime. The smallpox is presumed to have been released 9 days earlier, presumably by people who can also foresee the emerging crisis requiring military deployments two weeks later.

Narrative arc of the NYT Magazine article:

1. Many experts believe even a relatively unsophisticated technician (ie: terrorist) can make bioweapons. Only sheer luck has saved us thus far.

2. The assumptions made in the mock exercise assured a disastrous outcome. Real conditions may be very different.

3. Authorities like Michael Chertoff, Admiral Mike McConnell, Admiral Dennis Blair, and Heidi Avery consider bioterrorism one of the highest threats. Therefore it must be true.

4. The government has spent over $60 billion on preparations, including Project BioShield. Despite all this spending, and three redesigned approaches, we are still unprepared. Regrettable.

5. After the anthrax attacks in 2001, everything changed. The government began to take biodefense more seriously, meaning, the government spent money on expanding drug stockpiles.

After the anthrax letters in October 2001, everything changed: by 2002, spending on biodefense rose to more than $4 billion, from $633 million, with an emphasis on expanding the stockpile. One of the program’s first priorities was to increase the supply of smallpox vaccine. Smallpox is regarded by biodefense experts as the most threatening biological weapon, because it can spread as easily as the flu and kills about one in three victims. To expand the stockpile, the Bush administration called in a legendary epidemiologist. In the 1960s and ’70s, D. A. Henderson led the World Health Organization’s program to eradicate smallpox in nature, chasing outbreaks through villages in Brazil, the mountains of Yugoslavia and the jungles of India before finally containing the last known cases in the Horn of Africa in 1977.

Today, smallpox is the only human infectious disease ever eradicated by science. Returning to public service in 2001, Henderson called in another legend of microbiology, Maj. Gen. Philip K. Russell, a former commander of the Army’s medical research program and a figure so revered that one commanding general was known to keep a bumper sticker on his wall that read, “What would General Russell do?” Between 2001 and 2004, Henderson and Russell, along with leaders at the National Institutes of Health and civilian research laboratories across the country, raced to develop new production techniques and expand the smallpox-vaccine supply. Today, the stockpile holds more than 300 million treatment courses.

The NYT article goes then into the sad story of money, and the fights over money, being the main reason why we are still unprepared for new threats, even though we do have a full stockpile of smallpox vaccine. It is all very regrettable, all these budget woes and lobbying efforts, that have stalled progress on other important matters.

We then learn that DoD research into bioweapons, in the past, was actually very extensive:

It was immediately apparent that the Army’s research on tularemia went far beyond what is commonly known. In hundreds of experiments, scientists weaponized the bacteria to extraordinary potency and then proceeded to mix the slurry with another agent, known as S.E.B., which multiplied the effects logarithmically, shattering the human immune system just as the tularemia plunged in. In several large outdoor tests, scientists drifted clouds of tularemia over cages of live monkeys to evaluate the infectivity. At high doses, the weaponized bacteria were determined to have an incubation period of just a few hours. If left untreated, the combination of tularemia and S.E.B. was projected to cause death within the same period. Patrick called these “killing winds.” In one video, he calmly warned, “Between 50 and 60 pounds of freeze-dried tularemia produced in our production facility would eliminate about 60 percent of the population of London, England.”

You better hope if there's a bioweapon attack, that it's smallpox, because at least the government has enough vaccine for every American. But you have to take it before symptoms appear.

We have to digress here for a moment because actually, that turns out to be a whole other opportunity. A company called Siga Technologies has been working with the Obama administration to develop a drug that can be taken by people who don't get their emergency (free government provided) smallpox vaccine within 4 days of exposure.

Siga's drug, an antiviral pill called ST-246, would be used to treat people who were diagnosed with smallpox too late for the vaccine to help. Yet the new drug cannot be tested for effectiveness in people because of ethical constraints — and no one knows whether animal testing could prove it would work in humans.

No worries whether it works or not. Details. Whatever. The government negotiated a price of $255 per dose, for 1.7 million doses, a profit margin of 180%, which makes Siga's controlling shareholder Ronald Perelman very happy no doubt.

Perelman very "presciently" invested in Siga in 2003, a year before Bush signed the BioShield legislation, which focused on expanding the stockpile of bioterror medications, see above. And despite the haggling over money that supposedly prevented other pharma companies from wanting to do research (see the NYT story), some companies got grants and went ahead on this risky path. Siga of course being one of them. Lucky lucky lucky.

Siga's chief executive, Dr. Eric Rose, also served on the U.S. National Biodefense Science Board for the past four years, a board which has advised the government on how to respond to bioterrorism. Being on the inside of that process has no doubt helped Siga take a very aggressive stance in negotiating:

"Siga did not derive its price based on any cost information, and, from Siga's viewpoint, such information is not relevant to determination of an appropriate price," the company's chief financial officer, Daniel J. Luckshire, wrote to Lurie's office and others on March 4. "Siga has created extremely valuable intellectual property, embodied in ST-246, and Siga has priced ST-246 based on the value of that intellectual property," Luckshire added.

Should you be afraid of smallpox?

Scientists hypothesize that the few that survived proliferated—females can lay up to five eggs a day, and 500 during a lifetime—and passed along pesticide-resistant traits. Millions of bedbug generations later, scientists are finally zeroing in on how, exactly, bedbugs made their comeback.

...We read about the bedbugs in Vancouver, and then we read Jennifer Lake's blog about polio and influenza. And in our research about polio and influenza we watched this video, featuring Desiree Rover (the woman in the top video), and around minute 13 she mentions cimex lectuarius, which are bedbugs. The video link will open to this slide. And we were stunned to learn that a Dr. A.R. Campbell, 1865-1931, conducted extensive research on smallpox, and he discovered that smallpox was caused by bedbugs. Furthermore, it did not spread person to person, or through the air, or through clothing, but it struck people with poor hygiene and vitamin C deficiency.

"In considering this malady, I quickly became impressed with two distinctive peculiarities of it, viz: Its being a disease of the winter and of the coldest climates, and that, as a rule, it is confined to the lower or filthy classes." One would note at this link that a Russian scientist had arrived at the same conclusions as Dr. Campbell. One might also note the strong connection to poor nutrition and crop failures:

I refer to the scorbutic cachexia. Among the lower classes of people this particular acquired constitutional perversion of nutrition is most prevalent, primarily on account of their poverty, but also because of the fact that they care little or nothing for fruits or vegetables. That a most intimate connection exists between variola and scorbutus is evidenced by the fact that it is most prevalent among the poor or filthy class of people ; that it is more prevalent in winter, when the antiscorbutics are scarce and high priced; and, finally, that the removal of this perversion of nutrition will so mitigate the virulence of this malady as positively to prevent the pitting or pocking of smallpox. A failure of the fruit crop in any particularly large area is always followed the succeeding winter by the presence of smallpox.

The United States stopped smallpox vaccinations in 1972 because the disease had been wiped out in the Americas. Globally, it was eradicated in 1980, and most other countries also stopped vaccinating. An important part of the reason that countries willingly gave up vaccination once the disease was no longer a real threat is that the smallpox vaccine, more than any other vaccine, carries a significant risk of serious complications. For every million people vaccinate, 1 or 2 die, 15 suffer life-threatening complications and hundreds of others have serious skin rashes, infections or other problems.

One might further note the multitude of crop failures current and expected due to the many freak weather events. One might wonder just how long before one of these poor people in Vancouver or anywhere acquires smallpox from an infected bedbug, and then all hell will break loose. They would have a few different ways to play it, starting we would guess with: Everyone Must Be Vaccinated Immediately.

Let's go back to the deadly e. coli superbug that hit Germany earlier this year, which was supposedly a "mutant microbe," the kind of thing that Dr. Fauci considers the infinitely greater threat.

• piperacillin-tazobactam

While resistance to a single antibiotic is common, the creation of a strain of e.coli that's resistant to eight different classes of antibiotics -- in combination -- simply defies the laws of genetic permutation and combination in the wild. Simply put, this superbug e.coli strain could not have been created in the wild. And that leaves only one explanation for where it really came from: the lab.

The social engineers are everywhere: on teevee, facebook, at protests, at meetings, in think tanks, on the web. They are in the blogosphere, in comments and with their own blogs. They contribute. They are always working to shape opinion. They use techniques such as the Delphi Technique and the Alinsky Method. These techniques have been perfected over many years.

Saul Alinsky

"Few Jewish radicals have had as much influence over American politics as Saul Alinsky (1909-1972). Born to Russian Jewish immigrants, he graduated from the University of Chicago and then went on to become a community organizer, being one of the first to bring radical politics to Chicago’s Black ghettos. Some tactics of the Alinsky Method:

Slowly penetrate, infiltrate existing institutions like churches, unions, political parties, websites, blogs. Subtly gain influence within these organizations and then introduce change from that platform.
Fully encourage people in their discontents and divisions.
Train locals in the techniques and have them set the agendas for their local organized groups.
Use loaded questions to manipulate and exploit people to the pre-set agenda. Fan their tensions as much as possible.
The organizer must draw an attack onto himself which then cements his credibility with the people.

The enemy of the people must be identified personally.
The enemy must be completely polarized, 100% negative, the cause one of total defeat or total victory.
The ends justify the means.
The radical targets the middle class because it is the largest, and blends in, speaks their language, dresses in their manner, uses their customs, invokes their moral principles.
The organizer must be unpredictable and willing to draw everyone into chaos and confusion for the sake of these moral principles.
Large and loud staged protests project power, even if the movement is small.

Get people to act before thinking.
React with shock and horror when the enemy commits any error, misspeaks, etc.
Goad the enemy mercilessly, laugh at the enemy, deride the enemy. Use ridicule.
Organizers should always have more than one "fight in the bank," a stockpile of crusades that they can switch between to keep momentum going.
Short jail incidents strengthen the movement.

It is important to recognize that being able to successfully manipulate people, and teaching methods of successfully manipulating people, is not considered unethical by everyone. In fact, it is a special skill prized in our society, prized in politics. Manipulating.... leading.... what's the difference....?

But even in the blogosphere, consider some of the things that happen. It is the perfect environment, in many respects, to disrupt and neutralize effective voices.

These agents have been trained in methods which were developed for the Department of Defense, and perfected over decades, for purposes of psychological warfare. The organizer blends into the target group, becomes outspoken -- the most passionate for the cause, and then draws an attack onto himself to cement his credibility.

The guy in the center, with colorful and stylish scarf... he looks *extra* angry, *extra* committed.

The Delphi Technique technique was developed at the RAND Corporation in the 1950s for the US.Department of Defense.

The Delphi Technique was originally conceived as a way to obtain theopinion of experts without necessarily bringing them together face to face.In Educating for the New World Order by Bev Eakman, the reader finds referenceupon reference for the need to preserve the illusion that there is "Lay,or community, participation in the decision making process), whilein fact lay citizens are being squeezed out."

A specialized use of this technique was developed for teachers, the"Alinsky Method" (ibid., p. 123). The setting or group is, however,immaterial the point is that people in groups tend to share a certain knowledgebase and display certain identifiable characteristics (known as group dynamics).This allows for a special application of a basic technique. The "changeagent" or "facilitator" goes through the motions of actingas an organizer, getting each person in the target group to elicit expressionof their concerns about a program, project, or policy in question. Thefacilitator listens attentively, forms "task forces," "urgeseveryone to make lists," and so on. While she is doing this, the facilitatorlearns something about each member of the target group. He/she identifiesthe "leaders," the "loud mouths," as well as thosewho frequently turn sides during the argument the "weak or noncommittal."

Suddenly, the amiable facilitator becomes "devil's advocate."He/she dons his professional agitator hat. Using the "divide and conquer"technique, he/she manipulates one group opinion against the other. Thisis accomplished by manipulating those who are out of step to appear "ridiculous,unknowledgeable, inarticulate, or dogmatic." He/she wants certainmembers of the group to become angry, thereby forcing tensions to accelerate.The facilitator is well trained in psychological manipulation. S/He isable to predict the reactions of each group member. Individuals in oppositionto the policy or program will be shut out of the group.

The method works. It is very effective with parents, teachers, school children,and any community group. The "targets" rarely, if ever, knowthat they are being manipulated. If they do suspect this is happening,they do not know how to end the process. The desired result is for grouppolarization, and for the facilitator to become accepted as a member ofthe group and group process. He/she will then throw the desired idea onthe table and ask for opinions during discussion. Very soon his/her associatesfrom the divided group begin to adopt the idea as if it were their own,and pressure the entire group to accept the proposition.

This technique is a very unethical method of achieving consensus on a controversialtopic in group settings. It requires well trained professionals whodeliberately escalate tension among group members, pitting one factionagainst the other, so as to make one viewpoint appear ridiculous so theother becomes "sensible" whether such is warranted or not.

One hundred seven members of UNESCO voted to admit Palestine to the body, which was enough. You can watch a short video of the rather suspenseful vote here. Reaction has been swift.

White House condemns Palestinian vote on UNESCO, calls it "premature," "REGRETTABLE" and "deeply damaging" ....and the US checkbook has closed. That didn't take long!

Some people will say these things are only symbolic, and it doesn't matter, but if that were true we wouldn't see all this huffing and puffing. It matters because it changes the facts on the ground. It changes the narrative. And it puts the US and Israel on the back foot.

Palestine can now apply for some sites to be World Heritage Sites. Some of these sites may have Israeli settlers around. That brings a different authority to the settler problem. Suddenly there's a teacher in the room.

There are about 20 sites that Palestine may submit to UNESCO for World Heritage status.

The inventory consists of twenty sites, including seventeen cultural and three natural heritage sites, which reflect the cultural and natural diversity of Palestine. The list includes the historical cities (Bethlehem, Hebron, Nablus), major archaeological sites (Tell es-Sultan, Qumran, Sebastia, Mount Gerzim, Anthedon, and TellUm Amer), cultural and religious routes, natural (Wadi Gaza, Umm er-Rihan) and cultural landscape sites (Palestine, Land of Olives, El-Bariyah), as well as potential trans-boundary sites (Dead Sea). It is important to mention that “The Old City of Jerusalem and Its Walls” was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1981.

You can see if you click through that link, that this process has been ongoing for many years, meaning the process of recognizing and identifying sites in Palestine of "outstanding universal value" to humanity. To call it premature, regrettable, deeply damaging, etc., and to withdraw funding from UNESCO, simply reveals the pathetic whinging of the US and Israel.

Whatever will they do if Palestinian cultural and religious routes are declared UNESCO World Heritage sites? How are all those checkpoints going to feel to the tourists on their Palestine Holy Land vacations, as they retrace Palestinian World Heritage religious routes of pilgrimage? What about the Palestinian Land of Olives olive groves? We guess the IOF and settlers can't be burning up and tearing out Palestinian Land of Olive World Heritage olive groves, hmm? And maybe some of those settlers won't be allowed to throw their garbage out their windows onto the Palestinian World Heritage streets of Hebron?

You know how it is... fucking UNESCO... Ruining Everything.

Meanwhile, Bosnia: no longer on the hot seat.

The three Bosnian leaders had to agree on a position vis a vis Palestinian statehood, otherwise, they could have no position. And guess what happened? That's right, they could not agree. So this likely puts the end to the nine votes in the UN Security Council that Abbas was hoping to gather.

The three presidents had to agree in order for Bosnia to vote. So far the Muslim Bosniak leader supports the bid, the Serb member is pro-Israeli and the Croat member has not yet not clearly stated his position. The three members have to agree on a common policy or abstain.
...Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman additionally visited the Bosnian Serb stronghold of Banja Luka where decisions are made on how the Serbs will vote in joint state institutions.
The leader of the Bosnian Serbs and president of their mini-state, Milorad Dodik, said after the meeting that the Serb representatives in the central institutions are against the possibility of Bosnia voting at the Security Council for the Palestinian bid.
He added that he now expects Bosnian Serbs and Israel to strengthen economic ties and work on tourism and agriculture.
Lieberman, a Russian speaker who was born in Moldova, was on his second visit to the Bosnian Serbs this year, and spent several days of his vacation in the Bosnian Serb part of the country.

However, we also note that Bosnian foreign minister Sven Alkalaj, one of about 600 Jews in all of Bosnia who luckily happens to have the very influential job of foreign minister which of course is sheer coincidence and means nothing, visited Oman the past week to discuss trade ties.

The guest also spoke about the possible areas of cooperation in the trade between the Sultanate and Bosnia and Herzegovina and the products that could be exported to the Sultanate as this cooperation might be considered as the gate for European countries, in addition to the available advantages for investment there.

Oman, location location location...

Interesting because the latest US plan for "security architecture" involves making a little "mini-NATO" out of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE and Oman, in order for these countries to push back against Iran. And these arrangements will allow an expanded US military presence all around Iran, which makes Israel happy. Also, coincidentally, Bosnia's got a great trade deal on the line with Oman, and a few days later Bosnia managed to abstain from the vote on Palestinian statehood at the UN Security Council, which makes Israel happy. Win win win win.

Changing the subject....

Obama ~~sending~~ already sent US troops to Central Africa

He’s not calling it a war, but President Obama will be sending American troops into Central Africa to offer military assistance.
In order to aid with the takedown of Joseph Kony and his Lord’s Resistance Army in Central Africa, President Barack Obama told Congress today that he has authorized upwards of 100 American soldiers into the region to “remove from the battlefield” LRA leader Kony and other high-ranking officials of his army.
In a letter address to House Speaker John Boehner today, President Obama says that American troops "will only be providing information, advice and assistance to partner nation forces,” but that they could engage in battle if necessary for self defense.
Obama says that his decision to send troops into Central Africa comes as a response to two decades’ worth of aggression perpetrated by Kony and the LRA, whom the president says is responsible for having “murdered, raped and kidnapped tens of thousands of men, women and children in central Africa” and continues to “commit atrocities across the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan that have a disproportionate impact on regional security.”
In all, human rights groups and the Obama administration have estimated that thousands of Africans have been assassinated by the LRA army, which also regularly enlists young women as sex slaves and young men as guerilla soldiers.
The first American troops already arrived in Uganda on Wednesday and will soon deploy elsewhere throughout the region once other area nations approve the action. Meanwhile, US military operations continue in Asia, the Middle East and elsewhere.

What could possibly go wrong? How about some engaging of the battles as necessary for self defense, regrettably escalating the situation, requiring more troops as back up?

So the story goes, Joseph Kony -- the *elusive* Joseph Kony -- has waged guerrilla warfare for 20 years, against the Ugandan government, and as head of the Lord's Resistance Army. And now finally, after 20 years, American Heroes will go and get this fucker. We are not sure what took so long and why now, all of a sudden, it's time to get Kony. Or why now, all of a sudden, it's time to make a big trade for Gilad Shalit. But it's time.

"Kony is a brilliant tactician & knows the terrain better than anybody. He surrounds himself with scouts who have what amounts to an early warning system, which is how he's eluded capture for so long," Morehouse College assistant professor and Central Africa expert Laura Seay warned on twitter. "Kony also operates in some of the least-governed areas of the world's weakest states. Many of these places have no roads, infrastructure. All of this adds up for a potential mess for US troops, who don't know the terrain & can't count on host government troops to be helpful or even to fight. This will not be easy for only 100 US forces to carry out, especially given language barriers." Seay also points out that Kony uses children as human shield -- and as much of his fighting force -- making any direct action ethically and morally difficult.

Sure. Ideology and wits, brilliant tactician with incredible early warning system, just like those wily TCOs. Sure, sure. And why now?

It's difficult to find a U.S. interest at stake in the Lord's Resistance Army's campaign of violence. The group could go on killing and enslaving for decades -- as they well might -- and the American way of life would continue chugging along. It's possible that there's some immediate U.S. interest at stake we can't obviously see. Maybe, for example, Uganda is offering the U.S. more help with peacekeeping and counterterrorism in East Africa, where the U.S. does have concrete interests, in exchange for the troops. But it certainly looks like a primarily or purely humanitarian military mission, if a very small one. The Obama administration is hoping that these 100 troops will succeed where past U.S. assistance against the LRA -- intelligence, satellite images, fuel, and millions of dollars -- has failed. Maybe they will and maybe they won't. But this seems to suggest a small but important shift in how, where, and why the U.S. uses applies military force.

Aha, what exactly was the past US assistance?

July 2011 Congress lifts a hold on AFRICOM to spend $4.4 million on communications and intelligence training, and communications and engineering equipment, to help Uganda remove Kony. This all follows from legislation drawn up in 2009, signed into law in 2010, and now being funded and "executed," for humanitarian purposes of course.

In May 2010, the President Obama signed into law the Lord’s Resistance Army Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009, which required that the executive branch draw up a strategy to support multilateral efforts to protect civilians from the LRA, to apprehend or remove the LRA leader Joseph Kony, and to disarm and demobilize LRA fighters.

Who is this all about? Joseph Kony. Evidently, he's one bad dude.

In 2008 the US listed Kony as a global terrorist.
He has no known assets except guns and a satellite phone.
He was born to a Catholic father and an Anglican mother in 1961, was an altar boy, then a village witchdoctor.
He claims to follow the Ten Commandments.
In 2006 he appeared on camera with South Sudan Vice President Riek Marchar, allegedly to negotiate for peace with Uganda, which did not materialize because he never keeps his word.
He has supporters.*
He lacks popular support.
His deputies hate and fear him, believing him a "magical being" who can hear their thoughts.
He appears to be mythical in his ability to escape capture, claiming to use witchcraft to foretell danger.
He and his small army of under 500, using improvised weapons, consistently outwit armies.
His militants have been trained in harsh survival techniques.

Sort of like Osama and Al Qaeda in caves, except this time it's Kony and the LRA in the jungle. CAPICE?

So, who are his supporters????

He has a network of supporters in the Diaspora, who help give some form of legitimacy to the rebellion and maybe funding. All the nine people on his Juba Peace Negotiating Team are Ugandans living in the Diaspora. The head of the LRA peace negotiating team until 2009, Dr David Nyekorach Matsanga stays in the United Kingdom. If the Uganda government allegations against the government of Sudan for funding the LRA are true, then Kony has a lot of weapons at his disposal to cause any form of mayhem.

Supporters in the Diaspora then? So strange. This Dr. Matsanga was interviewed in 2008, and said the following things:

I am a Ugandan who fled the country in 1985 when Milton Obote was overthrown. It was a Saturday morning at 10:00am and since then I have not lived in Uganda.
...
Q: Have you ever met Kony?
A: Yes, I have met Kony physically over 16 times.

...Q: Are you confident that Kony wants peace?
A: I am confident that Kony wants peace but it is the people around him who are confusing him. He is surrounded by selfish people, especially in the diaspora who are not focused and are not for peace. They bombard him with calls and all sorts of ideas. They never supported the talks and do not want Kony to sign the peace agreement.

QUICK RECAP THERE: Diapora Ugandan living in London presumably traveled to Uganda and met Kony over 16 times, rather giving lie to the big drama that Kony lives like a murderous jungle hobo surviving on tree bark. Rather it seems his satellite phone RINGS OFF THE HOOK with advice from his DIASPORA SUPPORTERS, who may possibly have given him lots of weapons and funding, and who may possibly be the reason for his mythical powers of evasion.....because they do not want peace..... ?

Which would possibly mean, then, that this entire latest humanitarian hero mission of the US military is but one more crock of shit designed to get US troops into a RESOURCE RICH AREA, from which they can conduct another STRATEGY OF TENSION AND LOW LEVEL CONFLICT to destabilize the population and CONTROL THOSE RESOURCES......?

We never did get around to writing about that report, but LO! It's time. This is a 500+ page report detailing the genocide that took place in the Congo between 1993 and 2003, a genocide not caused by Joseph Kony. The report covers state sponsored violence.

Some of the child trafficking is blamed on the Lord's Resistance Army.

Problems resulting from the political marginalisation of northern Uganda led to the creation of the Lords Resistance Movement (LRM), a rebel self-proclaimed Christian guerrilla army. The LRA is accused of widespread human rights violations, including mutilation, torture, rape, the abduction of civilians, the use of child soldiers and a number of massacres. In fact, according to UNICEF, in 2006 alone 20,000 children were abducted.
Ruth Visick Evans, Director, Oasis Uganda, an NGO, says, "The problem of human trafficking is rampant in eastern and central regions where many children are taken to the border and smuggled easily into neighbouring Kenya for forced labour and prostitution."
Victoria Nafula, a senior immigration officer in Kampala agrees and reveals that at least 300 children are shipped out everyday for as little as $130 per child....While LRA activities largely throw light on child abductions, young women are also at risk - being lured to the United Arab Emirates, where they end up as sex slaves. Con men also come disguised as pastors and convince gullible audiences of how they can send their children to "paradise".

Three hundred children per day.

Probably, we guess, the LRA could not manage to hide out in the jungle if it kidnapped 300 children per day. Probably, we guess, some other rings are involved in the child trafficking.

In The Western Bloody Hand of Genocide in Africa, we read that that the LRA is blamed for some things done by others.

Western regimes and their genocidal puppets in Africa always creates a slam-dog to blame for their atrocities. This has been the Case in Uganda with the Lords resistance Army.
Joseph Kony’s Lords resistance Army has not killed more than a thousand people for the last Seventeen years. However the American and British trained Uganda Army (UPDF) has killed in Somalia,Uganda,Sudan,Rwanda,DR Congo and Central Africa Republic 5 million Africans. This is a fact and not some silly or malicious accusations. i.e.there was a time when more than 1000 people where dying in Western sponsored concentration camps in Northern Uganda. This went on for (work-out the maths) more than 6years.
In spite of the Lords resistance Army’s Christian fundamentalism, there’s no evidence of mass graves or masses of people with lips and ears chopped off nor is this the case with the Al-Shabab, Somali Mujahadeens.

More than 6 million civilians would later die under Bill Clinton’s eight-year reign – with American money, weapons and political support."

unintended consequences piling up

...The Palestinian quest for U.N. recognition is now being widely debated across the U.S., with the common denominator being total uncertainty about its direction and implications. Even Palestinian officials close to President Mahmoud Abbas are not certain of what happens next, because the three primary dimensions of the move remain unknown: the Palestinian strategy, its impact on the ground, and American-Israeli retributive reactions.

Most interesting to watch the American-Israeli retributive reactions.We've got people like John Bolton threatening that the US will defund the UN of the other countries of the world vote for Palestinian statehood, and people like Ileana Ros-Lehtinen pushing the legislation to back him up. Meanwhile the big wonks in foreign policy world bemoan the fact that some of these retributive reactions will be bad for Israel. Yup. That's right. We guess that's what happens when you create a Frankenstein in your fucking laboratory: the monster gets loose and breaks all your glass beakers, for starters.

The law of unintended consequences comes into play, finally. When lower order bits try to control higher order bits, you get unintended consequences. When the lower order bits have lots of enforcer goons out running around doing their own thing and the lower order bits are not all on the same page, you get unintended consequences.

For instance, some of the little enforcer goons in the US congress cut funding to the PA, so Arab countries stepped up to replace the money, making a generous donation this week that allowed full salaries to 130,000 civil servants and making the PA financially viable for another month.

We don't think Ileana meant for that to happen.

The attention on Israel may result in some other unintended consequences. Lots of goons running around causing mayhem makes some people look bad -- click over for images.

Dozens of tombstones belonging to Muslims and Christians were vandalised at two Arab cemeteries in what was an alleged 'price tag' attack in the the Ajami neighbourhood of Jaffa, Israel.
Graves at the Muslim al-Kazakhana cemetery were defaced with graffiti reading “Death to Arabs” and “Price tag”, written in Hebrew along with other messages. Some of the tombstones had been smashed. Graffiti was also found in a Christian Orthodox cemetery next to al-Kazakhana cemetery
The damage was discovered on the eve of Yom Kippur, or Day of Atonement which is the holiest day of the year for Jews, but it is not clear when exactly they were defaced.
The attack is the second alleged 'price-tag' attack in Israel in the past week. A week earlier a mosque in the Bedouin village of Tuba Zangaria was severely damaged in an alleged arson attack by Jewish extremists. The interior of the mosque suffered extensive damage and dozens of copies of the Quran were burned and damaged by the fire.

Shimon Peres was forced to condemn the behavior as despicable acts that disgraces Israeli society. Something Must Be Done. But is anything ever done about this problem? Is this a new problem? No. Talk is cheap.

Israel does nothing to stop the settler violence.

In a video of a recent fight between settlers and a Palestinian farmer and protesters near the settlement of Anatot, carried on Israeli news websites, settlers are heard to chant ''death to Arabs'' and call female protesters ''sluts'', saying: ''All of these women f--- Arabs.''
In this incident - on September 30 - a settler is seen attacking the crowd with a knife, protesters and villagers are punched to the ground, and throughout the ensuing mayhem, the video shows hardly any soldiers in the area to keep the peace.
When the soldiers do come, village leaders say, they either stand by and watch the attacks, or provoke further violence rather than protecting people and property.

...In July 2008, settlers began to use the spring and in February 2009 they started to renovate the area. Palestinians filed complaints with the police about the work, which was undertaken without permit on privately-owned land, and which damaged trees and property, the human rights group B'Tselem said. All the complaints were closed on grounds of ''offender unknown'' or ''lack of evidence''. The matter now rests with the High Court.
''Almost every week we smell tear gas,'' said Bashir Tamimi, head of the village of 550 residents. ''Settler violence is increasing - they are chopping down trees, damaging roads. After [Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud] Abbas went to the UN, it appeared that the Israeli government let the settlers loose, and allowed them to do whatever they wanted.''

...Last month, the army established a military post on a hill overlooking the valley between the Esh-Kodesh outpost and the village.
''In spite of this, it is suspected that settlers managed to vandalise 200 trees unhindered by the soldiers,'' B'Tselem spokeswoman Sarit Michaeli said. ''Regardless of whether the soldiers noticed the settlers and chose to ignore them or whether they weren't present in the area, this is a particularly severe case where the security forces violated their obligation to protect the Palestinian residents and their property.''
According to the UN Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs, more than 900 trees were uprooted or set alight in the week of September 21-27, and more than half of them were in Qusra.

How do settlers manage to destroy over 450 trees in ONE VILLAGE, in ONE WEEK, without getting caught by authorities, who have a lookout on a hill overlooking several villages, unless of course the authorities have no intention of catching them?

Sheikh Ibrahim Sarsour, an official in charge of the Arab Unity movement in Jaffa, condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks against Islamic holy sites, a continuing problem with little follow-up or investigation by Israeli police. He added that the Israeli police have not yet caught any of the perpetrators of these crimes against the Arab and Muslim population of Jaffa.

He sent word to the Israeli Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu; Israeli President, Shimon Peres; and Israeli Interior Security Minister, Ohronovic, stating that Palestinian Muslims have not yet recovered from the burning of the Al-Nour Mosque in the village of Toba Zanghriyya on October 4th. He claimed that the attack was supported, directly or indirectly, by Israeli officials. Certain Israeli officials have made public statements implicitly endorsing such attacks on the non-Jewish population of Israel.

Even Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, in his recent address to the United Nations, expressed his respect for the Lubavitcher Rebbe, who have stated on multiple occasions that non-Jewish lives are worth less than Jewish lives, and have argued that the killing of a non-Jew by a Jew does not constitute murder.

What do you see? A Palestinian with a gun? WRONG.

The Palestinian Authority has won a first diplomatic victory after the country gained initial approval of a bid for full membership in UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, a move deemed "inexplicable" by the United States....Membership would allow Palestinian officials to seek the protection of Palestinian historical sites by the cultural organization which is in turn set to create further tensions with Tel Aviv given some of them are in territories annexed by Israel.

Palestinians wanting membership in UNESCO is "inexplicable" to the United States. Hillary Clinton is "confused."

"I found quite confusing and somehow inexplicable that you would have organs of the United Nations making decisions about statehood or statehood status while the issue has been presented to the United Nations," she said. Before adding "the decision about status must be made in the United Nations and not in auxiliary groups." "Unfortunately there are those who, in their enthusiasm to recognize the aspirations of the Palestinian people, are skipping over the most important step, which is determining what the state will look like, what its borders are, how it will deal with the myriad issues that states must address" she also explained.

It's inexplicable and confusing to us that Hillary Clinton does not realize that it is ISRAEL who refuses to declare borders since 1948.

And there are some other ladies who have a thing or two to say about this: Kay Granger and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. These ladies are very angry.

Proving the U.S. is willing to take further actions to prevent the move, US Republican lawmaker Kay Granger, who chairs the subcommittee in charge of US monies for diplomatic purposes threatened she "will advocate for all funding to be cut off", if UNESCO accepted the Palestinians in as a state.
Her comments backed those of the chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who had Tuesday urged the administration to "make clear that any decision to upgrade the Palestinian mission's status by UNESCO or any other U.N. entity will lead to a cutoff of U.S. funds to that entity."

The US checkbook to ALL OF UNESCO will snap shut if that body accepts the Palestinians as a full member....?

Ooh dear that seems like a bit of Collective Punishment action. Geez. Calm down.

The Palestinians have held observer status in UNESCO since 1974, and every two years they have applied for full membership. And this week the executive board of UNESCO voted in their favor. Forty of the 58 executive board members voted in favor of the Palestinian state having full membership, and now the matter goes to the general conference of UNESCO, meeting at the end of October, where a two-thirds majority will result in membership.

This is clearly a matter of great consternation, because it is one thing to protect little wooden churches in Krakow, Poland, and little stone cottages in Puglia, Italy; and it is another thing entirely to protect sites in OCCUPIED Palestine, such as in Hebron, Bethlehem and Jericho, in the West Bank. If there are going to be UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Holy Land, they better all be under Jewish control first... ?

Important decisions are often made in the margins.

The math is complicated with the Palestinians so far only assured of public support from six countries: Brazil, China, India, Lebanon, Russia and South Africa.
The European powers say they have not yet decided how to vote but diplomats say Britain, Colombia, France, Germany, Portugal and United States will abstain or oppose the resolution.
That leaves Bosnia, Gabon and Nigeria in the diplomatic firing line.

Malki is to go to Bosnia, where the country’s ethnically divided three-man presidency is split on backing the Palestinians.
Other high-level delegations are to visit Gabon and Nigeria, Palestinian officials said, even though Malki said he has assurances from the two that they will back membership.
The three kingmakers already recognize the Palestinian state, but also see the US diplomatic shadow hanging over them. "The United States has political and economic leverage," said one UN council diplomat.
Bosnian Muslim and Croat co-presidents Bakir Izetbegovic and Zeljko Komsic support the Palestinian bid, but Serb member Nebojsa Radmanovic is against. Bosnia’s UN votes are normally decided by consensus, so diplomats say the divisions and close links to the United States could force them into an abstention.
"My sympathies lie with the Palestinians and Palestine as a state. But politics is not just sympathies and private positions," Komsic told the Dnevi Avaz newspaper Friday.
There has been a Palestinian delegation in Gabon for several years but the country could abstain, a source close to the country’s presidency told AFP. Gabon will support the Palestinians or abstain, the source said.
Nigeria’s Foreign Minister Olugbenga Ashiru has signalled support for the Palestinian bid, without saying clearly how Africa’s most populous nation will vote, media reports say.
Half of Nigeria’s 150 million population is Muslim and it is a country which the United States has in the past had difficulty gaining leverage over.
Nigeria will however be in a delicate position as it chairs the Security Council for October, including the membership committee and the full meetings if a vote is held.

Let us hear from Nigeria.

Although the Obama Administration has promised a rogue veto once the voting is in favour of the Palestinians, the US and Israel have been putting enormous lobbying resources and crude pressure on the members of the UNSC, including Nigeria, to prevent the need and shame of using the veto.
At this crucial time, the Nigerian government, the Nigerian media and Nigerian people must do the right thing, we must remember the glorious roles we played in supporting the victims of the racist policy of Apartheid in South Africa, examine our conscience and do the right thing again.
This is our true nature that we must connect with in this case. There is no reason for us to behave differently now because the policy that Israel exercises in the occupied territories is similar to that of Apartheid South Africa....
Nigeria already recognises the Palestinian nation and voting against its legalization at the UN will be a direct contradiction to our foreign policy objectives in relation to the conflict, the noble role Nigeria has always played in that part of the world.
As it did during the dark era of Apartheid, Nigeria must now show its true friendship towards the oppressed and not succumb to the tremendous pressure that the US will put on the administration to vote against the bid or abstain.
Nothing will benefit NIgeria by abstaining or voting against freedom for the oppressed.
It is clear to the whole world that US is a partner-in-crime to Israel and, part and parcel of the conflict on the side of Israel.

What about Bosnia?

Bosnia has a three member presidency, as well as a foreign minister, Mr. Sven Alkalaj. Reportedly, Mr. Alkalaj, the foreign minister, is Jewish. What are the odds? There are reportedly only about 600 Jews in all of Bosnia, and one is foreign minister. Lucky lucky lucky.

Meanwhile, Bosnia had general elections one year ago, but the central government has still not formed due to disagreements over the cabinet makeup. Bosnia seems rather crippled at the moment, and for the foreseeable future.

A year after last October's general election, Bosnia is still without a central government, with the inability of political leaders to agree on a future cabinet hampering the bid for EU integration.
"Instead of seeking a compromise, the six parties (taking part in the negotiations) are stuck in their hardline positions," explained Srecko Latal of the International Crisis Group (ICG) think-tank.
Condemning the "irresponsibility" of political leaders, Latal told AFP that the absence of a new government "will cost Bosnia a lot, as this situation ruins its (international) reputation."
He noted that the country has seen its credit ratings downgraded by international financial agencies, while foreign investments in the Balkan country have fallen 75 percent since 2009.

A primarily Muslim country with a significant Catholic minority, and a Jewish foreign minister, divided and unable to form a government, with think tanks, bankers, investors, and the US breathing down its neck...and we are hoping they vote with the Palestinians in the UN Security Council. Granted, it seems unlikely.

Bosnian politicians are split on the Palestinian issue along the same ethnic lines as in the the case of independence for Kosovo, which Sarajevo has not recognized.
Denisa Sarajlic-Maglajlic, an analyst at the Sarajevo-based Foreign Policy Initiative, told RFE/RL on August 15 that "the problem is...that Bosnia does not have a foreign policy, does not have an agreed position about most issues. What comes out in these situations are party, ethnic, or 'entity' interests, which then influence everything."

Local media reported that the presidency's Bosnian Muslim member, Bakir Izetbegovic, and Croat member Zeljko Komsic support the Palestinian drive for statehood while their Serbian colleague, Nebojsa Radmanovic, is opposed.

The position of Muslim politicians and religious leaders reflects a high level of sympathy for the Palestinians and close ties with the Islamic world.

But Republika Srpska, which along with the Muslim-Croat Federation composes Bosnia-Herzegovina, has in recent years intensified its relations with Israel.

Pro-Israeli analysts and commentators are also often quoted in Bosnian Serb media with statements about Bosnia being a potential hotbed of Islamic radicalism.

Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik visited Israel last year and promised to promote Israeli interests in Bosnia when he had the opportunity.

In May, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman visited the Srpska capital, Banja Luka, on a private trip with a group of businessmen.

Milos Solaja, a Banja Luka-based political analyst, told RFE/RL that Bosnia would in the end probably try to follow European Union directives on the Palestinian statehood issue.

"Bosnia is in a delicate situation and there is a heavy burden on our politicians' shoulders," Solaja said. "Bosnia could stay neutral in this affair and it probbaly will in the end."

"Milorad Dodik is regarded to be in direct connection with organised crime and misuse of political power. However, due to the weaknesses of the judicial system in Bosnia and Herzegovina he has not been processed for the criminal acts since he came to power again."

Most of the leading politicians in Bosnia and Herzegovina are directly connected with or involved in crime and criminal activities. The whole state is caught in the vicious circle of politics, mafia and crime. The property records of politicians reported to the Central Election Commission (CIK) do not reflect the actual situation, since the data is adjusted and in many cases incorrect. The wealth of leading politicians such as Milorad Dodik, Haris Silajdžić and Dragan Čović is much higher than that stated in their property records, because their property is transferred to other persons, relatives, friends and bank accounts kept abroad.
The recruitment of new politicians is practically impossible in Bosnia and Herzegovina, because the political and social life is also trapped to the vicious circle of politics, mafia and crime. Thus, new politicians may only enter the sphere if approved by the current political elites.
Connections between crime and politics were created already during the period when Bosnia and Herzegovina was gaining independence, because the leading politicians at that time needed the services of criminal structures. Since then those connections became inseparable and can be defined as "criminalisation of politics and politisation of criminal".
Analysts have pointed to the very difficult situation and at the same time believe that no mass protests and demonstrations will arise in Bosnia and Herzegovina, because the leading structures have gained control over trade unions, military veteran organisations, media, NGOs and other organisations.

The other day in London, six members of a Palestinian family, the Kua family, died in a house fire early in the morning of Saturday, September 24, 2011. Two members of the family survived, the father and a teenage daughter. As reported later in the day on Saturday, September 24, 2011, the fire has already been ruled: Not Suspicious.

Police said there was no immediate evidence of foul play. "The fire at a residential property in Neasden in which six members of the same family died has been deemed non-suspicious following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade," Scotland Yard said in a statement on Saturday afternoon. It gave no other details about the cause of the blaze.

A thorough investigation will ensue?

Speaking at the scene, Chief Superintendent Matthew Gardner said police are conducting a "thorough and painstaking" investigation with the London Fire Brigade into the cause of the blaze.

The authorities are also conducting reassurance patrols in the local area and places of worship.

Fire trucks arrived within four minutes, but immediately faced an intense fire, which is Not Suspicious. It was a difficult fire to contain.

Also Not Suspicious about this extremely fast moving fire in which a family of Palestinians were killed in London coincidentally the day after Abbas made his declaration of statehood to the UN: the sound of explosions and debris in the neighbor's yard.

Neighbours told Sky News how they woke to the sound of a series of explosions before the fire, which is not being treated as suspicious by police, gutted the property.

'First there was an explosion three or four times and then after this we came out and saw the fire,' Gito Parma said at the scene.

Resident Joe Lyons said he was shocked almost a whole family were wiped out in the 'terrible fire'.

'The fire started just before 1am - the flames were belting out the front two windows,' he told Sky.

'We saw fire engines, ambulances and police. I was very surprised this morning to see on the news that six people had died.'

Mr Lyons said he found debris from the blaze, including broken tiles, in his backyard....

Station manager Glen Gorman said: 'Firefighters were faced with very intense heat and smoke - it was a very difficult situation to deal with.

Since when are explosions Not Suspicious?

The surviving daughter is in critical condition after being blown out of a first floor window, which of course is NOT SUSPICIOUS AT ALL...? Most other reports say she jumped from a second story window, but her critical injuries are to her back and head, rather than to her legs.

The only survivors were her daughter Nur, 16, who appeared to have been blown out of a first-floor window and her husband, Bassam Kua.
Nur, a student at a Catholic sixth-form college, was in a critical condition last night at St Mary's Hospital in west London.
Mr Kua, 51, was being treated for severe burns to his hands after a desperate attempt to save his family.
Neighbours said the fire started at about 1am. One who was woken by a blast said people had to restrain Mr Kua, a builder, to prevent him from re-entering the inferno.
Abdi Osman, 47, a neighbour, told how he had sat with Mr Kua in an ambulance as paramedics tried to save his son. He said he had heard two explosions coming from the house, which sent bricks from the front wall flying into the road.
"I ran outside," Mr Osman said. "I could see the fire spreading. It started downstairs but then quickly spread upstairs. I started shouting out 'Is anyone home, is anyone home' but I couldn't hear anything. It was almost silent. They must have been asleep or already dead.
"Then the father came out. He was burnt black all over his arms and face. He didn't say anything, he was in shock.
"Some of the neighbours had to hold him to stop him from going back in the house. I ran up to him and said 'Is anyone inside, where is your family?' He just looked at me and said 'They're inside, they're all inside.'
"I went into the ambulance with him but he wasn't saying anything. He just sat with his head in his hands crying. Then they brought his son into the ambulance. They put a mask on his face and tried to resuscitate him. They did CPR but he died. His dad sat there watching. It was horrific."

...The family, of Palestinian origin, came to Britain from Libya 14 years ago, friends said. They moved to the four-bedroom semi-detached house in Sonia Gardens two years ago.

By all reports a lovely family, a hard-working family with polite and intelligent children. TAKE NOTE.

London Ambulance Service was called at 12:51am by the London Fire Brigade.

"We were called at 12.51am by the LFB to reports of a fire at Sonia Gardens.

When the engines arrived, four minutes later, the house was already engulfed in flames.

Station manager Glen Gorman, who attended the scene, said when they had arrived the house was "engulfed" in flames.

What caused the fire?

Police said they believed the fire, which broke out at the four-bedroom semi at about 1am yesterday, was caused by an electrical fault in a fridge in the hallway.

With stunning contempt, The Sun headline reports: "Fridge Kills Six in House Inferno: Pals mourn mum and five kids." That's right, treat the death of this family like an episode of Sponge Bob. Tell us what you *really* think.

Of course it is NOT SUSPICIOUS that an electrical fire in a hallway refrigerator can flash over and engulf an entire house in four minutes, after causing three to four explosions powerful enough to throw a girl out of a window in another room......?

Comment at SKY News story: "If it is true that a faulty refrigerator caused this fire, then I hope that details of the make and model are quickly released so that the public can be made aware of whether they are in danger or not. There could be hundreds, perhaps thousands of families with similar models in their homes."

That's logical thinking, but COMMON SENSE tells us this fire was not caused by a fridge in the hallway.

And smoke alarms would not have helped this family, as we read some of the INANE and HATEFUL comments at some of these stories. Presumably the family was woken up by the THREE OF FOUR EXPLOSIONS anyway, hmm?, which were loud enough to wake neighbors?, and the smoke alarm would be a bit redundant in those circumstances?

No jumping to conclusions then? Wait for the investigations? The investigations that have already determined the fire Not Suspicious. How convenient. Sorry, but we will jump straight to conclusions thank you very much.

And let's just follow this logic through here:

“I heard a loud bang, it was literally like an explosion, almost like a bomb.

A "member of the public" reports a fire, and four minutes later the fire engines are at the scene.

A neighbor hears an explosion, and four minutes later heard the engines responding, but the house was already fully engulfed in that short time.

The neighbor thought it was really strange to hear an explosion, which seems a normal response to us. The neighbor did not know what was going on until hearing the sirens approaching, and only then looking out the window to see the house already engulfed. But the "member of the public" somehow knew exactly what was going on, apparently from the first moment of the explosion, because there was no delay in calling it in. Not even a minute of confusion. From the time of the explosion to the engines arriving: 4 minutes. From the time of the phone call to the engines arriving: also 4 minutes. Seems that the explosion and the phone call were made at the same time.

Perhaps by the same person? A "member of the public."

Maybe the police ought to investigate that hmm? Don't count on it. Probably a detail like that is considered Not Suspicious.

We watched the Abbas speech and found it very good, very well-delivered. Compelling. He held our attention. We were very encouraged at the good applause he received from the people representing the people of the world. We consider it an historical speech.

He makes a statement. It is not even a statement of fact, because Lebanon does not "preside over" the UN security council.

IN FACT, it's like this. Lebanon, Burkina Faso, Costa Rica, Croatia, Libya and Vietnam were elected non-veto-holding members of the 15-nation UN security council, which has the authority to impose sanctions and send peacekeeping forces.

NOT THE SAME as presiding over.

Certainly we could say that terror organizations do in fact preside over world (in)security, but we would not be talking about Hezbollah.

We think his arrogance and criminal insanity shine through perfectly clearly in the speech, especially when he delivers the more egregious lies with that little head pattern (lower, raise, stare, blink, lie).

In any case, the only reason we listened to this asshole is to find out what he projected as the problems in the world today, and of course we were not surprised to hear the usual litany: Lebanon, Hezbollah, Iran, nuclear weapons, militant Islam, Gaza, Hamas, etc.

OF COURSE he failed to mention the Mossad, and what they may have been doing to wreck the "theory" of how peace actually works. Poor Israel did all these nice things, withdrawing from land that doesn't belong to them in the first place, and they did not get peace in return, but war. So regrettable. So confusing then? Not really. The problem is the same problem everywhere in the world with the out-of-control intelligence and military services playing a video game with real people on the ground, as Netanyahu knows perfectly well, as these people CREATE the REALITY ON THE GROUND that he LOVES TO COMPLAIN ABOUT because it JUSTIFIES WHAT HE WANTS TO DO.

Also, since Netanyahu brings up Gilad Shalit, let's remember that Israel holds over five thousand Palestinian in prison, and has stolen organs from Palestinians in the past.

EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton asks Palestinians to please not go to the ICC, even if they get non-member state status.

According to Russian Mafia, (The Endlessly Fascinating) Putin will reclaim the presidency in December.

A major banker and former high-profile official, who talks with both Putin and Medvedev regularly, said: “A month ago Volodya and Dima sat down to talks and dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s. Putin will be the next president. Before the decision was made, both had been very angry and nervous, now they are different people, smiling and telling jokes”.
Here is the list of sources, that confirmed the information: a major St Petersburg businessman, who has been a Putin's friend for over 20 years, a high-profile officer at the interior ministry, who is a Medvedev's friend, and a number of officials. All of them say Putin will retake the presidential office. For them the presidential vote in December is no longer an enigma. Putin will again lead Russia.
Recent statements made by prime minister Putin hints to the fact that election campaign has started. His speech, as well as his unexpected appearance at the bikers' rally in Novorossiysk, riding a motorcycle, has resembled that of the candidate to the presidency.

Putin, a couple of weeks ago, at a motorcycle rally with the leader of the Night Wolves.

We noted in the last post that Russia and several of the Central Asian states paid close attention to the uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Syria, and decided they ought to take some protective measures.

Just a month ago, billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov was gearing up to be president of Russia running on the Right Cause party ticket.

Prokhorov, one of Russia’s richest businessmen, has only recently entered the political arena, though he has very ambitious plans. In June 2011 he became the head of Right Cause – a political party which was formed in 2008 as a successor to the market-oriented Union of Right Forces, the Democratic Party of Russia and the Civil Power party. Prokhorov claims that the Right Cause must become the second largest faction in the lower house after United Russia, and he has already started to attract individuals who could potentially form a shadow government.

Just a month ago, he was encouraging Russia to integrate with Europe. He was encouraging Russians to convert the "lion's share of their savings into euros and dollars." See video. According to Prokhorov, this would be the best way for RUSSIA to grow. Hmm. Seems to us that Russians putting the lion's share of their savings into euros and dollars would be bad for Russians, but what do we know. Prokhorov is the billionaire, not us. He made lots and lots of money with the oligarchs in the 1990s, as they disemboweled the Russian economy like a school of piranhas. And evidently, he is in tight with some Europeans (same link).

The decision to integrate Russia into Europe might seem a little eccentric for Prokhorov, who went through a public scandal with at least one European nation – France. In January 2007, Prokhorov and four of his friends were arrested and detained for several days in the ski resort of Courchevel over suspicion of involvement in a prostitution ring. Police released Prokhorov without pressing any charges, but the criminal case was closed only two years later. Media reports quoted French police sources as saying that some of the girls accompanying Prokhorov on his skiing trip had received gifts worth thousands of dollars, but investigators have failed to prove that this was not a genuine friendship, but a business arrangement. Also in 2009, the French government officially apologized to Prokhorov and in March 2011, the Russian businessman was awarded the French Order of the Legion of Honor.

Michael Weiss of The Henry Jackson Society, in June 2011, was complaining (bitterly) about the Lack of Democracy in Russia, and bemoaning that "real" opposition parties can't get off the ground because the Kremlin intimidates people, and squashes budding democracy movements like bugs. Here’s the kind of opposition party that can emerge in Russia: On Monday, it was reported that the “new” Right Course party would stand for the upcoming election. But there’s nothing new about it. The Right Course Party was registered back in 2009 to succeed the Union of Right Forces. It’s headed by Mikhail Prokhorov, the third richest man in Russia (he owns the New Jersey Nets basketball team in America), who disdains the term “opposition” and who’s chums with both Putin and Medvedev. Prokhorov is a major sponsor of the Seliger Camp...[Seliger Youth Camp, held annually in the Khimki Forest outside of Moscow, and sponsored by corporate giants such as Johnson & Johnson and Ernst and Young. Last July, Seliger featured an exhibition called, “You are not welcome here” - with mannequins of public figures ranging from Condoleeza Rice to Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili to Russian opposition figure Boris Nemtsov, all wearing Nazi caps.

Aha, Weiss suggests Prokhorov is bad? He sponsors (along with evil corporations) creepy youth camps in the woods? We can believe all that but... pals around with Putin and Medvedev?

Really? Those are his chums? That seemed a little odd to us. Prokhorov, after all, hangs out in Courchevel.

An estimated 10,000 Russians have packed into Courchevel for the Orthodox Christmas and New Year for each of the past few years. Mr Prokhorov, who is estimated to be worth more than £3 billion, is famous among them for lavish parties at which guests, dropped off by armoured Humvees and Mercedes, enjoy jereboams of Cristal champagne, the rich Russians’ favourite.

Well it turns out that we don't think Prokhorov and Putin are pals after all.

Mikhail Prokhorov, deposed from the leader of the "Right of the case." This decision was made by opponents of a businessman who spent his Congress Party. The representative of the Ministry of Justice has recognized this decision as legitimate. Mr Prokhorov said that he left the project, but from the policy is not going to go away. He named the main culprit for the split first deputy head of presidential administration, Vladislav Surkov, and said he would seek a meeting with the president and prime minister.

The translation is not great, but basically, he got canned. Which is why he claims he quit.

"Mikhail Prokhorov thought that the Lord God grabbed by the beard..." etc. A good article.

And he blames Vladislav Surkov. Who is Vladislav Surkov?

When we saw that Sergei Magnitsky's death had spurred various congress people to draft legislation targeting 60 people of the Russian federal government with visa restrictions and more, such action being a little over-the-top in a WTF? sort of way, and called such by the Russian government, to the point that it is nearly an "international incident," we figured there must be a reason. There must be a reason why these senators and the State Department are making such a big fuss over poor Sergei. And of course the next thought is it can't be whatever reason they claim, namely the horrible human rights violations and corruption of the Russian prison system.

No, we figure there must be some special reason that the Team Browder narrative has such widespread support in the halls of power and in the press, the press that is consolidated into the hands of a few people.

The Browder narrative fits an agenda, an agenda of Russia=Bad. And yet, still, there are many narratives that fit an agenda and yet they don't rise to this level of sycophantic unison and official support to the point of making geopolitical waves as a result of asinine legislation. So it stands out to us as being rather special. In fact, the whole thing strikes us as a bit DEFENSIVE.

As in: Let's Change the Subject and Let's Point the Finger First. Let's talk about the Horrible Corruption in Russia. Look What Happened to Poor Sergei! And Poor Bill!! Something Must Be Done. And so it happened that they drafted S. 1039, Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act of 2011.

A bill to impose sanctions on persons responsible for the detention, abuse, or death of Sergei Magnitsky, for the conspiracy to defraud the Russian Federation of taxes on corporate profits through fraudulent transactions and lawsuits against Hermitage, and for other gross violations of human rights in the Russian Federation, and for other purposes.

From the very specific to the very vague, the bill goes after the people responsible for killing Sergei, and for making fraudulent transactions and lawsuits against Hermitage, and after that for lots of other things in Russia which are, by sheer coincidence, not much specified.

Over at the Heritage Foundation, a prominent neocon think tank, Ariel Cohen manages to accuse the Russians of over-reacting to the legislation. Do you see how that works? US Senators do an outrageous thing against Russia but it's the Russians who overreact? This only works because the Team Browder narrative has gone essentially unchallenged in The West for some time now, plowing the soil.

A stern warning. Because if Russia wants to be one of the big boys, Russia needs to play by the rules.

But we know Browder has a narrative about Russia that he never tires of telling, and it so happens that certain powerful Zionists really like Browder's narrative about Russia, so their interests perhaps coincide? For instance, this past June Browder was given an uninterrupted platform for his narrative at The Henry Jackson Society. He met with Michael Weiss. International patrons of the society include Michael Chertoff, Dore Gold, Robert Kagan, William Kristol, Richard Perle, and Natan Sharansky. We think it is safe to classify all of these people as Zionists.

Now is Browder simply being an opportunist, taking advantage of the invitation to get his story out One More Time (the poor thing)? OR might there be a synergy, a win win? You can look at it either way depending on how many puzzle pieces you've got fitted in.

He wrote to Hillary Clinton and said ‘let’s deny these people visas based on the US article of law’ and Hillary Clinton was right in the middle of her reset policy with Russia and so she rejected his request. So he said let’s not stop there, let’s make a piece of legislation, and so he came up with something called Justice for Sergei Magnitsky Act, and the Justice for Sergei Magnitsky Act would deny their visas and also to take it one step further and freeze their assets in America. We got Senator McCain to co-sponsor it.

There's something really wrong with this interview transcript, because Bill Browder does not speak in Russian-accented English, and he does not typically make errors like getting Senator Benjamin Cardin's name wrong. So we don't know what this is all about dear reader, but there's a problem with the transcript provided by the society, as it appears to be slightly misleading. However that is merely an observation.

After Browder's narrative, Weiss lays in with a speech. At the end of this joint harangue they conclude with a curious blend of fear and ridicule toward Russia.

But remember, according to some people, Putin is bad. Russia is bad. Russia is CORRUPT, unlike The West. But they can't drop bombs on Russia, because Russia could fight back. So the cowards have to go about it some other way, and a relentless PR campaign is part of that. Russia is inconveniently located for a giant country not under Zionist control. Russia has lots of natural resources. Russia has pipelines that go across Russian territory. Russia has lots of neighbors with natural resources, like Kazakhstan, "Israel's partner in Eurasia" (by Ariel Cohen). Russia is close to China and Iran. Russia is friends with Syria. Damn Russia. Now if Russia happened to fall under Zionist control, if it could possibly be arranged, things would be different. Then we would hear about how good Russia is due to all those natural resources. But not before then.

So Putin was president for a long time (2000-2008), and then he was barred for another term, so Medvedev became president (2009-2012), and Putin has been alongside him as Prime Minister. Elections are coming up again in Russia (parliamentary 12/4/11, presidential 3/4/12), and Putin can run for president again. Not that anyone in The West would know or care.

However there are people who have been paying attention to events in Russia and they know all about the upcoming elections and the various opposition groups, and these are people like Michael Weiss and David Kramer, which you will note if you click on the links supplied above to their speeches. They are experts on opposition to Putin. And of course they could be Zionists but that would be a sheer coincidence.

Consider the implications.

And just imagine, if you were Bill Browder, and by some amazing stroke of lucky democracy, there was regime change in Russia and you got your visa back and justice for Serge and... hoo boy. That would be a Win Win.

But there is the problem of Putin. This is what they're up against. He is not so easy to oppose, actually.

Here's a speech he made recently in which he talks about Russia's future.

Building roads. Building Russia's infrastructure. Building ports. Building ships. Building cars. Creating jobs. Building towns, with jobs. Expanding inland waterways. Meeting social obligations. Building power plants, natural gas plants, manufacturing capacity. Exporting things Made in Russia.

You will remember how many lances were broken, and how much was said about our gas exports to Europe, and how many spanners were thrown in the works to impede, for example, the Nord Stream project, the gas system under the Baltic Sea, how many alternative projects were proposed. What happened to them? They have remained on paper. But Nord Stream has essentially been implemented. The capacity is 55 billion cubic metres a year, once two strips are in operation. One has been completed. We will start pumping process gas near Vyborg tomorrow. That will take about a month, and in late October-early November we will be able to provide gas to consumers.

What does that mean? It means that we are gradually, calmly freeing ourselves from the dictate of transit states, without any abrupt movements. This is “a window to Europe” in the energy field.

It's a political speech, granted, but unlike all the promises of hopey changey we get around here from all sides, they are actually doing the things Putin talks about, you know, with money and everything. Looks like that accountability stuff we hear so much about.

Putin knows that you can't have an economy without industrial production. So Russia is not STUPIDLY DOING what we STUPIDLY DID in the United States when we allowed globalists to dismantle our economy and send all our jobs oversees. We are the "some countries" he speaks of.

You know, I visited a school outside Moscow on September 1, and saw a social science manual which stated that unlike the 20th century, the 21st century is all about the provision of services, and that the production sphere ranks second on the list of priorities. This is a rather debatable issue.

We can see that some countries, which engaged too heavily in de-industrialisation policies, are now reaping bitter fruit. Engineering centres and skilled employees are following in the wake of disappearing production facilities. This creates conditions of degradation; therefore, it’s very premature to speak about the death of industrialisation. We need a new industrialisation based on new approaches. That is the right thing to do.
