Federico Lombardi, a spokesman for the pope.

In an interview broadcast last month on Swedish state TV and in previous letters and speeches, Williamson denied 6 million Jews were killed in the Holocaust, saying about 200,000 or 300,000 were murdered. He said none was gassed.

Williamson apologized for his remarks on Thursday upon his arrival in his native Britain after being ordered to leave Argentina. He said he would never have made them if he had known "the full harm and hurt to which they would give rise."

But he didn't say he had been wrong or that he no longer believed what he had said.

On Friday, German Justice Minister Brigitte Zypries said Germany could issue a European-wide arrest warrant on hate crimes charges for Williamson since the Swedish TV interview was conducted in Germany.

State prosecutors in Regensburg, Germany, have opened a preliminary investigation into whether Williamson broke German laws against Holocaust denial.

http://www.startribune.com/world/40417742.html?elr=KArks:DCiUBcy7hUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUU

Tossing the Bishop into jail for six or seven years will be his punishment for Thought Crime violations.

Saith the High Priests protecting the most
holy Holocaust™ religion.

Wonder $$$$$ what it $$$$$ would take for $$$$ Abe Fartman $$$$$ to back off?$$$$$$$$$$$$Greg Baconhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08110469235589724960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-481838326205496616.post-13614132470883543352009-02-28T07:19:00.000-05:002009-02-28T07:19:00.000-05:00Looks like someone got to the Bishop... or not.It'...Looks like someone got to the Bishop... or not.

It's kinda of a non-apology. Bet this won't be good enough for that slob Abe Fartman.

ROME - A British bishop whose denial of the Holocaust embroiled Pope Benedict XVI in controversy has apologized for his remarks, a Catholic news agency said Thursday.

Bishop Richard Williamson, with the conservative Society of St. Pius X, had faced worldwide criticism over a television interview in which he said no Jews were gassed during the Holocaust.

While Williamson apologized in a statement Thursday to all those who took offense and for the distress he caused, the bishop did not specifically say that his comments were erroneous, or that he no longer believed them.

"If I had known beforehand the full harm and hurt to which they would give rise, especially to the church, but also to survivors and relatives of victims of injustice under the Third Reich, I would not have made them," Williamson was quoted as saying in a statement carried by the Zenit Catholic news agency.

Last month, the pope sought to help heal a rift with ultra-traditionalists by lifting a 20-year-old excommunication decree imposed on Williamson and three other bishops who had been consecrated without Vatican approval.

The move immediately caused an uproar among Jewish groups. Benedict later condemned Williamson's remarks and spoke out against anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29411773/from/ET/Greg Baconhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08110469235589724960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-481838326205496616.post-33541873613675801662009-02-27T07:09:00.000-05:002009-02-27T07:09:00.000-05:00Anybody seen my pitchfork?Anybody seen my pitchfork?A.
