paramilitaries, a scourge on humanity

There is a place in Colombia called Bahia Portete. There was a massacre there in 2004. The people from that place are Wayuu Indians, indigenous people with a matriarchial society. Hold that thought. Colombia and Venezuela Uribia, La Guarija, near Aruba Bahia Portete, on the northwest coast of Uribia ^^^^^^^ Colombia is an important US ally. August 18, 2010: Colombia president see no effect from base ruling BOGOTA, Colombia – A Colombian court ruling overturning an accord giving U.S. troops access to more of Colombia's bases will have little impact on military cooperation with Washington, President Juan Manuel Santos said Wednesday. He said Colombia, the United States' closest ally in South America, will continue to get U.S. help for the government's fight against drug traffickers and leftist rebel groups.... In Washington, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley called the military relationship with Colombia important and said the administration w...

off the hook

The other day Russia released Yair Klein from jail, where he has been detained since 2007, and he returned to Israel. Who is Yair Klein? He is a former IDF colonel who trained paramilitaries in South America. In 1987, with support from army officers, the traffickers imported foreign mercenaries from Israel and Britain to run a death squad school in the Magdalena Medio to impart the skills of the Israeli Special Forces and the British S.A.S. to the Colombian death squads. Retired Israeli army colonel, Yair Klein (last heard of in June 2000, when he was sprung from jail in Sierra Leone) transformed the peasant militias of the MAS into a professional killing machine. Reputedly, Carlos Castaño was Klein’s star pupil. By then, he and his older brother Fidel were paramilitary leaders in their own right. They had their own 150-man paramilitary army, " Los Tangueros ," and ruled a fiefdom in the northern state of Córdoba from which they trafficked drugs, conducted a ...

al qaeda...in your HEMISPHERE

Two lawmakers say Venezuela belongs on that damn list immediately, if not sooner, citing "overwhelming" evidence. In separate statements, Florida's Reps. Connie Mack and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen cited, among other reasons, the relationship between Caracas and the Islamic regime in Iran and with the FARC rebels in Colombia, both considered by the United States as entities that sponsor global terrorism. Mack, who represents a district in Fort Myers, said that ``the evidence that links Venezuela with some of the most dangerous terrorist organizations is overwhelming.'' He cited the refusal of the government of President Hugo Chávez to implement in Venezuelan airports the measures demanded by the Transportation Security Administration. OK, to be clear, the "overwhelming" evidence that links Venezuela to "some of the most dangerous terrorist organizations" is: refusing to implement measures demanded by the TSA in Venezuelan airports. Yeah, um, FAIL wi...

Hold the narrative up to the sunlight

While certainly no expert on Central and South America, I couldn't help but notice the particular call-out warning in Haaretz this week for Israelis in Columbia. From the end of yesterday's post discussing the likelihood of a false flag against Israelis/Jews any minute now: Update: Haaretz: Israel tells nationals: Leave Sinai immediately http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1106759.html The Counter-Terrorism Bureau in the Prime Minister's Office warned Israelis to exercise caution when traveling abroad during the Jewish holidays, due to the assessment that Hezbollah may try to attack Israeli citizens, and urged citizens in Sinai to leave immediately. In issuing its report on Tuesday, which it does regularly before Rosh Hashanah and Passover every year, the bureau stated the bulletin "did not involve new warnings, but rather a current assessment." It cautioned Israelis to be vigilant regarding anything unusual, and to refrain from traveling to Muslim countries subje...

bandits

As we wrote about recently, in getting away with murder, it seems strange to us that after so many horrible "natural" disasters, such as tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, etc., that the experts and authorities seem to get all tangled up in bottlenecks and administrative hairballs whenever the time comes to get the aid to the people in need. And these Regrettable problems tend to cause more people to die, from preventable deaths. Eight months have passed since the Haiti earthquake. You can see that a lot of money was raised by charities to help Haiti, but much of this money has yet to be spent. Here are a few examples from an extensive list compiled by The Chronicle of Philanthropy. This data is about two months old. Adventist Development and Relief Agency International, Silver Spring Amount raised: $7,161,357 Amount spent: $1,873,990 - 26% American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, New York Amount raised: $7,300,000 Amount spent: $3,502,685 - 48% American ...

operating in the geopolitical black holes

Southern Pulse (southernpulse.com) tells us about all the ungoverned spaces in the Americas, spaces where transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) operate, also known as "geopolitical black holes" and "stateless zones." straight from Mr. Ed's mouth to your ears http://southernpulse.com/_webapp_3930524/Ungoverned_Spaces_in_the_Americas,_Part_I Southern Pulse should know. You can take this information to the bank, a bank like Wachovia for instance which has laundered billions of dollars of drug money for the Mexican cartels, and paid a whopping big fine of $160 million, or less than 2% of it's $12.3 billion profit in 2009 . Because Southern Pulse has "a network of investigators" operating across the Americas and an advisory board hooked directly into the CFR and RAND. These field agents don't sit behind a computer and read the interwebs, they're out there Operating Across the Americas . Capice? And they can identify all the geopoliti...
