Israeli professor "assures" us that Israel will take the whole world down with it

The BBC is ruing the day it caved into Israeli pressure on the Gaza aid appeal. If you haven't, scroll through the stories at WhatReallyHappened to get a feel for how much flack the BBC is getting. They have gone so far as to threaten to fire journalists who go off the reservation, and 'widespread disgust' has taken over the BBC newsrooms.

The world is paying attention to Israel's behavior, and the world doesn't like it. Unofficially, the Gaza offensive has backfired spectacularly on Israel. The psychopathic personality, having no conscience, cannot imagine how normal people will react to the carnage he envisaged, the means he used to justify his end. So Israel remains frustrated that the world does not understand why it "had" to do these things. But of course, most of the world are not psychopaths, so there you have the disconnect. Of course, officially it's still all Hamas' fault.
A person without imagination, like Barak (his election slogan: "Not a Nice Guy, but a Leader") cannot imagine how decent people around the world react to actions like the killing of whole extended families, the destruction of houses over the heads of their inhabitants, the rows of boys and girls in white shrouds ready for burial, the reports about people bleeding to death over days because ambulances are not allowed to reach them, the killing of doctors and medics on their way to save lives, the killing of UN drivers bringing in food. The pictures of the hospitals, with the dead, the dying and the injured lying together on the floor for lack of space, have shocked the world. No argument has any force next to an image of a wounded little girl lying on the floor, twisting with pain and crying out: "Mama! Mama!"
In general, Israel consistently overestimates how much non-Jews care about Israel. Jewish people comprise 0.0025% of the world's population, so why does everything have to revolve around Israel? At what point does the world tell Israel to sit down and STFU? Do we wait for Israel to attack Iran, or a European capital, and start WW III? Because they are likely to do such a thing. Here's an Israeli professor bragging last Friday that Israel could destroy every European capital to avenge the holocaust! You know, all this time I thought the Holocaust (TM) has already been paid for. Why does it still need to be avenged? What is up with these threats against Europe?

“We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets of our air force.”

Creveld, a professor of military history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, pointed out that “collective deportation” was Israel’s only meaningful strategy towards the Palestinian people.

“The Palestinians should all be deported. The people who strive for this (the Israeli government) are waiting only for the right man and the right time. Two years ago, only 7 or 8 per cent of Israelis were of the opinion that this would be the best solution, two months ago it was 33 per cent, and now, according to a Gallup poll, the figure is 44 percent.”

...Asked if he was worried about Israel becoming a rogue state if it carried out a genocidal deportation against Palestinians, Creveld quoted former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan who said “Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother.”

Creveld argued that Israel wouldn’t care much about becoming a rogue state.

“Our armed forces are not the thirtieth strongest in the world, but rather the second or third. We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that this will happen before Israel goes under.”

OK then. Thanks for being honest. Greg Bacon has more here.

Not to mention that Bibi just gave an interview to the WSJ in which he said, more or less, that when it comes to Iran, the ends justify the means.

While you ponder that, don't miss the mysterious Blackjack slideshow on Telegraph UK.

And don't miss Christopher Story's latest installment on the financial corruption hitting Mach speed, and Tom Heneghan's version of the same, and ask yourself, just WTF is going on? And at what point does this stop? Before it's too late, or after? Isn't it already too late for so many people? Haven't we already seen enough? Who needs to see more? Why is that? Aren't these beautiful Palestinian babies dead enough, or do we need to see dead Iranian and American and European babies before we do something about Israel? Why?

Thank God!!! We're all saved from doom by pot smokers, coke heads and heroin junkies. All of those Afghani's and American kids killed fighting that "War on Terror" in Afghanistan?

Died fighting so Wall Street banks could remain profitable!!

UN crime chief says drug money flowed into banks

Sun Jan 25, 2009 9:17am EST

VIENNA, Jan 25 (Reuters) - The United Nations' crime and drug watchdog has indications that money made in illicit drug trade has been used to keep banks afloat in the global financial crisis, its head was quoted as saying on Sunday.

Vienna-based UNODC Executive Director Antonio Maria Costa said in an interview released by Austrian weekly Profil that drug money often became the only available capital when the crisis spiralled out of control last year.

"In many instances, drug money is currently the only liquid investment capital," Costa was quoted as saying by Profil. "In the second half of 2008, liquidity was the banking system's main problem and hence liquid capital became an important factor."

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime had found evidence that "interbank loans were funded by money that originated from drug trade and other illegal activities," Costa was quoted as saying. There were "signs that some banks were rescued in that way."

Profil said Costa declined to identify countries or banks which may have received drug money and gave no indication how much cash might be involved. He only said Austria was not on top of his list, Profil said. (Reporting by Boris Groendahl; Editing by Charles Dick)

Before we invaded Afghanistan, the Taliban had declared the growing of poppies illegal and had almost smashed the opium production coming from Afghanistan.

Since we invaded, poppy fields have multiplied to the point that the amount of opium coming out of Afghanistan is hitting record numbers.

What a coincidence!

So maybe this means they had to siphon off some of the illegal drug money from black ops to save the banks. That's not exactly sticking it to the man, though, for the druggies.

This morning, while logging onto my blog, this message appeared on the blogs header:

You flagged this blog as having objectionable content.

WTF? I did not flag my own blog, but someone must have in my name.

I've contaced blogger, but don't expect any, if much help.

My blog looks like it might be flushed down the Memory Hole.

Wonder who is objecting to some honest questions and facts about that SLC in the ME?

Surely, friends and fans of the ME's "only democracy" can't be objecting to freedom of speech, can they?

Must of got tired of leaving threats on my blog and cussing me out.

Oh, Greg. What the hell? You're doing something right. What else can one conclude?

Since Israel is actually a theocracy and not a democracy, since they DON'T have a Constitution and let Rabbis shape the law, it's not surprising some nut case side-curled maniac would issue in print what a lot of Israeli's think.

You should've read some of the comments to articles in the JPost when the IDF was raining hell down on Gaza.

Most all were happy that Palestinians were being killed and more than a few wanted the IDF to pick up the pace.

I'm sure FOX and CNN will cover this story, in between the latest on Tom Cruise and digging up some sordid murder mystery.

"Israeli human rights group Yesh Din is calling for the ouster of the military’s top rabbi, Brigadier General Avichai Rontzki over his messages to soldiers during the 22-day military offensive in the Gaza Strip. The primary concern was a booklet which, among other things, contained a rabbinical edict against showing mercy.

The booklet contains quotes from a nationalist rabbi which declares that showing mercy during the battle would be “terribly immoral” and quotes a medieval sage who cautioned Jews not to “be enticed by the folly of the Gentiles who have mercy for the cruel.” Yesh Din says the booklet could have been seen by soldiers as official encouragement to act in violation of international law… an important issue as the Israeli government scrambles to defend itself against accusations of massive war crimes during the war.

Another pamphlet told troops that the civilian population of the Gaza Strip was not innocent, and urges them to “spare your lives and the lives of your friends and not to show concern for a population that surrounds us and harms us.
