BAE Systems is a huge defense contracting company registered in the UK and serving seven home markets: Australia, India, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, UK and the US. BAE Systems, Inc. is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland and handles relationships with the DoD. BAE Systems trains and employs people for the US Army's Human Terrain System (HTS) out of Leavenworth, Kansas.

HTS provides Human Terrain Teams (HTT) and Human Terrain Analysis Teams (HTAT) to augment deployed combat troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The idea is to embed social scientists into combat brigades, and these anthropologists will help the military get on better with the local populations. Theoretically a good idea if, say, we really were in Iraq and Afghanistan to help the local populations. Otherwise, total mind-fucking and completely unethical. So much so that actual anthropologists want nothing to do with HTT.

John Allison, an actual anthropologist who entered and resigned from the program wrote the following in his resignation letter:
My experience in the program included both instruction in such things as military culture, military language, military decision-making process, Counter-Insurgency doctrine, and many other topics intended to socialize the trainees into the world as seen by the military. During this time, more than once, the majority of the class – who were either current or retired career military or those with former military service who were hoping to convert into an intelligence role such as CIA – would speak about the ‘Stockholm Syndrome’. This refers to how the majority in a group can shape the values and perception of the minority. Apparently, in most ‘cycles’ (six-month long training group schedules up to deployment), the majority of the HTT candidates are such military personnel as were in our November 2009 Cycle, which actually began mid-October. It became clear that the majority saw their job as to expedite the acculturation of the rest of us – those who had the skills and credential that were needed to support the ‘soft’ warfare image that HTS advertises – an image of winning the hearts and minds of the peoples of Afghanistan and Iraq - to win the anthropologists over to their military culture’s world view and values; or to marginalize and force the non-compliant to resign.
It's just for the image. People who joined HST with good intentions were used to put a smiley face on military goals.

All of this has lately come under increased scrutiny.

A member of the US Army (TRADOC) management team in Afghanistan, according to sources, is a “gun runner.” That individual is allegedly listed in an “FBI database” and has “ties to Wali Karzai and the drug business.” Another Human Terrain System leader has apparently been accused by “local nationals…of being a pedophile—touching young Afghan children while out in the field and making disturbing comments about them.” Members of a US Army Stryker group in Afghanistan have made the same comments.

These comments appear outrageous but, then again, this is the US Army Human Terrain System. It’s a head-shaker that the US Army (TRADOC) and Lt Gen. Lennox heap praise upon it even as the US Congress, House Armed Services Committee, has said the program needs a good scrub, as reported by the authorities on HTS at Wired the Washington Independent. HASC is to be applauded for this action. And it could not come at a better time.
So HTS is not what it claims to be. But people play dumb. Unbelievably, US Army Generals claim that they did not know HTS was a spy/intel program, even though it is funded as a Military Intelligence Program. (John Stanton in Zero Anthropology, 5/7/10)

Dr. Montgomery McFate (nee Mitzy Carlough, a former punk rock child of hippies) and Dr. Marilyn Mitchell oversee the development of HTS anthropology training. McFate's husband, Sean McFate, used to work as program director of the national security initiative at the Bipartisan Policy Center, a Washington think tank until his mother, Mary McFate/Mary Lou Sapone, was outed by Mother Jones in 2008 as a for-hire operative who spied on citizens' groups for corporate clients. Nice! Both Mitzy and her husband reportedly worked for Mary McFate in the past. That's why Mitzy is so qualified for HTS, see, because she's an anthropologist/former punk rocker and not a spy, ok?

Here are John Stanton's reports on the Army's Human Terrain System.

You may or may not be surprised to find links between BAE Systems and BP. A July 2007 piece in Executive Intelligence Review gives a rundown of several key BAE executives.

  • BAE chairman Richard Olver is a former director and deputy group chief executive of BP, and a director of Reuters, the British news/propaganda arm which is headed by a Knight Commander of the British Empire, Sir Niall FitzGerald.

  • BAE chief executive officer Michael Turner is a director of Lazard, the Venetian bank with ties to the British Round Table group, the French Synarchy, the Venetian circles around Assicurazioni Generali, and the United States. Lazard is also closely connected to the international war materials cartels, and to Royal Dutch Shell.

  • BAE director Philip Carroll is a former president and chief executive of Shell Oil Company, the Houston-based U.S. arm of Royal Dutch Shell. Carroll is also a former chairman and chief executive of Fluor, the giant engineering company currently headed by Lord Robin Renwick, a vice chairman of J.P. Morgan Cazenove. Additionally, Carroll is a member of the advisory board of the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Houston's Rice University, a school which has a long history as a British outpost in the United States.

  • BAE director Sir Nigel Rudd is deputy chairman of Barclays, the largest bank in the world by assets. Barclays has interlocking directorships with not only BAE, but Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan Cazenove, raw materials powers Rio Tinto and Freeport McMoRan, and British newspaper publisher Trinity Mirror.

  • BAE director and chief operating officer Walt Havenstein, who heads BAE's U.S. unit, is a former employee of both Lockheed Martin's Sanders unit and Raytheon, and is said to have extensive knowledge of ultra-secret electronic warfare systems.

  • BAE director Michael Hartnell is a retired finance director of British plastics and packaging company Rexam, and is a director of Lonmin, the notorious mining company formerly known as Lonrho. Lonmin chairman Sir John Craven is also chairman of the private bank of the wealthy Fleming family.

  • BAE director Dr. Ulrich Cartellieri is a long-time member of the international advisory board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, a former official and director of Deutsche Bank, and a current and former director of a number of German industrial companies.

  • BAE director Andy Inglis is a former managing director of BP and head of its exploration and production arm.

  • BAE director Sir Peter Mason is the retired chief executive of AMEC plc, a British engineering firm with ties to N.M. Rothschild.

  • BAE director Roberto Quarta is a partner with the U.S. private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, which has deep ties to the Morgan and Rothschild interests in the United States.

  • BAE Director Peter Weinberg is a partner in the boutique investment bank Perella Weinberg Partners. Joseph Perella is a prominent mergers and acquisitions banker who was formerly a partner with current Lazard head Bruce Wasserstein. Weinberg is a former senior partner with Goldman Sachs, and the son and grandson of prominent Goldman Sachs bankers.
BAE knows all about message control. BP knows all about message control.

U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Thad Allen made these statements over the weekend:

"I don't think it's an issue of control. What makes this an unprecedented anomalous event is access to the discharge site is controlled by the technology that was used for the drilling, which is owned by the private sector. They have the eyes and ears that are down there. ... Our responsibility is to conduct proper oversight to make sure they do that."

That's right. It's not about control, American people, because our government DOES NOT HAVE ANY. Our people don't have "access to the discharge site," but somehow despite that they're going to conduct proper oversight. How's that, you ask?

Hey, no worries.

"When I give them direction or the federal on-scene coordinator gives them direction, we get a response. I've got [BP Chief Executive] Tony Hayward's personal cellphone number. If I have a problem, I call him. Some of the problems we have had that we've worked through are more logistics and coordination issues. ... I trust Tony Hayward. When I talk to him, I get an answer."
OK? Thad Allen trusts Tony Hayward because when he talks to him, he gets an answer. For all we know Tony tells Allen to fuck off and die.

It is all about control, and who has it. And the problem is that Thad Allen goes on CNN and makes this statement to Candy Crowley, after over a month of oil absolutely flooding into the Gulf of Mexico, non-stop, and people accept Allen's statement as being reasonable. But if you look at his statement, he is saying that the US government has been completely subordinated to private interests, and in fact he has no control whatsoever over BP, a conclusion supported by the facts, and which is totally insane.

That is what we are being mind-controlled not to see. They will mind-control every sentient being to death if we let them.

UPDATE: Reports that lawyers from Transocean were ready to go, on the rescue boats, with legal waivers, and everyone was forced to sign them. (h/t Alhamask)

Deepwater Horizon survivors allege they were kept in seclusion after rig explosion, coerced into signing legal waivers

Fri May 21, 5:20 pm ET

According to two surviving crew members of the Deepwater Horizon, oil workers from the rig were held in seclusion on the open water for up to two days after the April 20 explosion, while attorneys attempted to convince them to sign legal documents stating that they were unharmed by the incident. The men claim that they were forbidden from having any contact with concerned loved ones during that time, and were told they would not be able to go home until they signed the documents they were presented with.

Stephen Davis, a seven-year veteran of drilling-rig work from San Antonio, told The Guardian's Suzanne Goldenberg today that he was held on a boat for 36 to 40 hours after diving into the Gulf from the burning rig and swimming to safety. Once on a crew boat, Davis said, he and the others were denied access to satellite phones or radio to get in touch with their families, many of whom were frantic to find out whether or not they were OK.

Davis' attorney told Goldenberg that while on the boat, his client and the others were told to sign the statements presented to them by attorneys for Transocean — the firm that owned the Deepwater Horizon — or they wouldn't be allowed to go home. After being awake for 50 harrowing hours, Davis caved and signed the papers. He said most of the others did as well.

Davis' story seems to be backed up by a similar account given to NPR by another Deepwater Horizon crewmember earlier in the month. Christopher Choy, a roustabout on the rig, said that the lawyers gathered the survivors in the galley of a boat and said, "'You need to sign these. Nobody's getting off here until we get one from everybody.' ... At the bottom, it said something about, like, you know, this can be used as evidence in court and all that. I told them, 'I'm not signing it.' "

Choy said that once he was finally allowed to get off the boat, he was shuttled to a hotel, where he met up with his wife. At the hotel, representatives from Transocean confronted him again and badgered him to sign the statement. Exhausted, traumatized and desperate to go home, Choy said that he finally relented and signed.

Choy's lawyer, Steve Gordon, is incensed over what transpired in the hours after the explosion. He, along with other attorneys for Deepwater Horizon workers, is trying to get the documents voided by the courts.

"It's absurd. It's unacceptable, and it's irresponsible," Gordon told NPR.

Astounding research! I got a real bad stomach ache just reading the names and associations. It's all one big happy family (as in The Family - D.C or Charlie Manson).
Just finished reading "Stones Into Schools" (Greg Mortensen). (I still read books.) I know and play Afghan music, and respect the culture immensely, was there back in the day. That book will make anyone who gives a shit weep. So obvious what "could be". According to the author, there ARE a few good people in the military in Afghanistan who "get it". Just wish they would get it together and eliminate the "paths" in charge. But, then as you point out the numbers are huge, and their vile fingers touch every aspect of present life on earth.

thanks bho, and thanks for the video. it is sickening, i totally agree, how the tentacles run through and through. the source article for those executive profiles is very good, going into even more gory detail about the interconnected nature of the network:

This extended network is part of the oligarchical apparatus that Lyndon LaRouche has described as a "slime mold." It is dynamic in that it changes with the times, absorbs or creates new parts while excreting the remains of decaying parts, while retaining its essential Venetian character and methodology. Individual parts come and go, but the slime mold itself lives on, absorbing as much of the world as it can.

http://www.larouchepub.com/other/2007/3427bae_slimemold.html

it will come to an end one way or another.

More on the slime mold, from xymphora's:

"BP is refusing to use other chemicals in its dispersion efforts in the Gulf, despite protests from the EPA and US Government about the toxicity of the chemical it's using, something called Corexit.

A simple web search brings up a company called Nalco, who is the manfacturer of this "wonderful" product.

On Nalco's board of directors:

Rodney F Chase - former Deputy Chief Group Executive of - you guessed it - BP.
- Also served on board of Lehman Brothers.

Carl M Casale - Executive VP and CFO of MONSANTO.

Daniel S Saunders - Former President EXXON MOBIL

NALCO's largest shareholder? Berkshire Hathaway, owned by Warren Buffett."

bho, excuses excuses. look at the sob story they gave to npr:

MR. SUTTLES: Well, we're not in a standoff with the EPA. What they told us to do is they said, "We want you to find a less toxic, more effective chemical." And what we've done has been pursuing that request. We actually met again with them yesterday. And what we're finding is that some of the products that are out there just aren't available. They're not available now in the quantities. And some of the products that are on the list actually have long-term issues with them. We've shared the details of those with the EPA. And that's the reason we're not using those products.

But we met again last night. We're continuing to look for alternatives. We want to find something if there is something out there that's better. But we actually believe this is a good product to use. It's widely used. It's been on the list for many years. But I'll tell you, if we can find something less toxic and more effective, we will put it to use.

gosh darn it. they're *tryin* man.

dubs is the sinkhole on that new madrid fault?
Anonymous said…
Well yes it is as it cuts Western Tennessee. I am getting a pretty good idea of what is going on but I am not going to put it here as it is all wrapped up again with predictions you jumped on me about. It is up at the top of my blog though under the black times again.

It is joined by the Atlantic rift which extends out of the ocean through the South Carolina, parts of Georgia and Tennessee. They are joined together. I know this because I read (fill in the blank) Don't get mad at me I am just kidding you.

From what I have read all the faults and magma fields of the earth are joined and interlocked. When something happens in one area it affects others. They are not singular events. For instance it is a scientific fact that a quake on one side of the globe will exert pressure in the exact point on the other side of the globe and parts in between.

This fault goes all the way up to Illinois and if it goes will effect Arkansas and Tennessee.

I look for a map of the fault line if you like.

In the article it says that Mitzy Carlough's father was discharged from the Marines on psychological grounds. He later had electro-shock therapy , finally throwing himself off a bridge.

Dave McGowan's work on the Laurel canyon scene shows how many of the rockstars were ex-military.

Peasant I am a recovering protestant and I believe you said you used to be catholic. It is rather ingrained since Constantine that any thinking outside the box is sorcery, witchcraft and a sure ticket to hell.

This in spite of the fact that Jesus, Jeremiah and hot of others were predicting the future. When three wise men follow a star to a child then obviously they are "seeing" something others aren't so I know exactly what you are saying.

Just like anything else there are a bunch of bogus bullshit artists out there trying steal a dime misdirect. I am just going to have to ask you at this time to have confidence in my judgement. Have I steered you wrong yet?

I will leave you with the words of Manly Palmer Hall

Those who represent an ideal beyond the comprehension of the masses must face the persecution of the unthinking multitude who are without the divine idealism which inspires progress and those rational faculties which unerringly sift truth from falsehood...-Manly Palmer Hall

Alhamask,
yes i have seen these and i find it all highly possible, perhaps even likely. there had to be a big mindfuck in there somewhere, to explain why all the staged incompetence.

looks like the story is the corexit and the target population kill makes a lot of sense. that's how the death cult works.

i hope to get a post up about this and a certain angle of it. thanks for these links. i'll use some of them.
