High drama, but the plot needs work

The Somali pirate problem escalates rapidly. The corporate psyops news outlets breathlessly report on the developments:

1. It's framed as an escalating dramatic standoff, involving an international gallery of hostages being used as human shields.

2. Top level people, the household names, are now directly involved. General David Petraeus make his appearance, probably as star of the show. (We've already seen Hillary Clinton.) AG Eric Holder -- best supporting actor.

3. Hero narratives and vigils ensue for the brave captain and his crew, who somehow managed to get their 17,000 ton ship captured by a few guys on a small craft. Those pirates had guns you know. And anyway, why would a DOD contractor's ship with top security clearance be expected to have a basic ability to defend itself in waters known to be infested with maurading pirates? Why didn't they hire one of those Blackwater private security crews? I guess in a way this is all just lucky that they were only delivering food aid, so they didn't have security, which tragically allowed all this unfortunate stuff to happen. Who could have predicted? No good deed goes unpunished [shaking head sadly].

4. Navy SEALs and FBI hostage negotiators are now involved. PHEW!

5. Various US warships have arrived or are on the way. Of course, we could blow those pirates out of the water, but the US military doesn't just go off an kill people like that, much as they deserve it. Nope. It just doesn't happen. Never. Especially when there's an American hostage involved, and a hero at that. This kind of reminds me of Gilad Shalit.

6. The evil pirates have extorted TENS of MILLIONS of DOLLARS. How does this compare to the extortion of the banks? Oh nevermind. Millions, billions, trillions. Whatever. Just think like Dr. Evil in Austin Powers, and this will all make excellent sense.

7. Though Obama receives regular updates, there's always a 'potential for tragedy' in situations like this, according to experts.

I'm afraid I am very rudely noticing things that I'm not supposed to notice.

"In his office, Massachusetts Maritime Academy professor Capt. Joseph Murphy, father of Capt. Shane Murphy whose cargo ship was hijacked by Somali pirates, contemplates the news yesterday."

Shane Murphy, with a cute as a button baby-face, is the son of a professor that teaches a course in piracy and Shane has received extensive training in piracy as well. I wonder who trained him and what they were training him for.

I just find it a bit suspect that the first US ship to be captured by pirates since the 1800's just happened to be manned by someone who has been trained in piracy by our government. Was this a set-up or just very bad luck for the pirates?

bad luck for the pirates? au contraire. if he was trained in piracy, then why did the pirates succeed in capturing the ship? they are like evil superheroes, no, these wily pirates? amazing.

international gallery of hostages being used as human shields.

The term human shields must play well in Zionist sponsored focus groups.

I watched another one of those Russian Jew immigrants that had to "escape" the old USSR because of their freedom fighting activities--right, probably got caught scamming some rubles--say that the reason why so many Gaza kids got killed in the latest Isareli invasion was because Hamas fighters picked up kids and used them as human shields.

Will human shield be the "smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud" catchy phrase of the next war for Israel?

yeah, i think that is definitely one of the high value buttons they will be pushing like crazy. human shield has tremendous emotional content, so they'll use it to describe anyone they want to demonize, facts be damned as usual.

Pirates killed a hostage during a separate hold-up off the Somalia coast. Get the popcorn! This is going blockbuster! A sold-out show, I would imagine.

Bombing the hell out of Iran is the real goal, but that doesn't seem to be getting much traction in the USA.

Too many people worried about real problems, like whether or not they're going to have a job and house next month.

So, the MSM will divert to Somalia and put an American face on another ZioCon target, Somalia, in the hopes we'll rally around the flag.

I'm still waiting for the BREAKING NEWS report that the Somalia water skiers are somehow mobbed up with Iran.

The pirates took swimming lessons at the YMCA of IRAN when they were five, no doubt.

Piracy in the Red Sea: Saudi points towards Israel

“Who has got an interest in such an internationalization?” Asks the analyst, echoing “another disturbing development represented by the decision of a shipping company (AP Moller-Maersk, the world’s largest container ship operator and supply vessel operator) to divert its huge merchant fleet from Suez Canal and take the route via the Cape of Good Hope.”

Good find, Greg. The miracle on the sea was the talk of the Easter feast yesterday and it made me want to puke. How can people be so stupid not to see past this? Folks were glued to the teevee for this spectacular drama.

Yup, the MSM is in one of their special brainwashing modes, setting up the gullible for some big event.

When they weren't running nonstop blather about the phony-ass hijacking, they were running spots about another murdered girl.

Singing the praises of the Navy SEALs, when you find out this morning from the bogs that the Somali "pirates" were out of fuel and bullets, drfiting.

Takes a real brave man to shoot an unarmed person.

That boat, the Alabama, was about 300 miles away from Somalia when this incident took place.

300 miles on the open sea is one helluva distance to travel in some worn out fishing boat.

Who's giving these pirates the info they need to arrive on time to capture boats in the open sea?
Boats laden with cargo, since an empty one wouldn't be much of a prize.

Why didn't CNN or FUX news put this into their hyperventilating news reports about the Somalia pirates?

US accused of covert operations in Somalia

Emails suggest that the CIA knew of plans by private military companies to breach UN rules

Antony Barnett and Patrick Smith The Observer, 10 September 2006

Dramatic evidence that America is involved in illegal mercenary operations in east Africa has emerged in a string of confidential emails seen by The Observer. The leaked communications between US private military companies suggest the CIA had knowledge of the plans to run covert military operations inside Somalia - against UN rulings - and they hint at involvement of British security firms.

The emails, dated June this year, reveal how US firms have been planning undercover missions in support of President Abdullahi Yusuf's transitional federal government - founded with UN backing in 2004 - against the Supreme Islamic Courts Council - a radical Muslim militia which took control of Mogadishu, the country's capital, also in June promising national unity under Sharia law.

Evidence of foreign involvement in the conflict would not only breach the UN arms embargo but could destabilise the entire region....

One email discussing funding of any operation sent from Farina to Ballarin states: 'We may have to re-focus our efforts in the US among the DOS [State Department] and DOD [Defence Department] to bring any forward movement to this effort.'

Maybe FUX did mention this in their morning soft core porn news show, but I was too busy watching and hoping the FUX news babe would show her undies?
